After paying Matt the agreed upon $211.00 mid March for an engraved Data ID Plate and following up with him consistently within 24hrs w detailed answers accompanied by photos to any of his questions throughout the year, I finally got the message by May that I was not going to receive the part, a reply, or my money back. Similar to another post above I also received a cryptic text one day at 1am from him talking about matters that were unrelated to the Data Plate, which initially had me worried about the seller's health. Every couple of weeks I would ask for an update an on occasion receive a reply such as "will post draft here within 24 hrs" ect which kept me stung along until all communications ceased completely from Matt in May. Beware of this seller.
Update: I received a full refund from Matt after going through the PayPal claim process.

- i did receive all your requested & needed shipping info. over the weekend , ( today is Sunday / weekend still )

- is our already pre-planned USPS EMS Express Mail overnight service / out my shop door Monday / tomorrow to you still OK ?

- please let me know this morning via Text, & Call's because even though USPS does not operate on Sunday's , remember i said working non-stop including every Sunday prior to you mailing out all your locks / parts to me during our final live tech. call & planning-huddle strategy session ...


- oh ..... ? your final completed locks , keys , upgraded Tercel 4x4 wagon cold-spec. package , ( snow-version option package ) black EPDM rubber pads , & u-groove retainer clip 's tech. video reel-short i sent you Saturday / yesterday ... does everything have my routine green-light ✅ approval from clients to be bagged & tagged for it's pony-express ride ?

- can we stick to the call & text's format we have used thus far only primarily ? this helps me help you and me not miss any final details that matter most ...

EDIT / note: Matt and I originally agreed upon the locks being sent out earlier in the week. That didn't happen, which is OK. Slip ups happen and we're all busy, especially since it's a holiday week. Matt and I chatted on Friday and he still had the locks, post office is closed, so no wrongdoing here over the holiday week since he couldn't have shipped them out over the weekend anyway. Just wanted to make it clear so I'm not painting him to be a villain.

Will update everyone when they get sent out, hopefully tomorrow. I'm sure they'll work great.

That's not standard for banned members - the username will show a strikethrough under the avatar. He must have requested to deactivate/delete his account from the forum owner/operator.
 
Final update - received my locks from Matt. He repaired my broken hatch lock cylinder which several locksmiths refused to attempt, cut me new keys based on the passenger lock code, and rekeyed a driver's door lock cylinder & ignition to match. Incredible work & done with really high quality.

He's clearly a first rate technician / mechanic, but it was a frustrating customer experience since he works in sprints of super good communication and then radio silence.

My experience matches other folks' - exceptional product but not the easiest customer experience...

Meanwhile, how long does it take to pack a bunch of parts? I don't even need them since I've found replacements, and this person has gone "AWOL". Did he end up manufacturing some artisanal boxes for shipping?

I recommend anyone with an outstanding order file a chargeback immediately—I’ve been through it too. Matt kept telling me he was going to issue a refund, and I took him at his word. By the time I finally got fed up and filed for a chargeback, I was already outside the window.

Ironically, when Matt is the purchaser, he did the same thing with the money. I helped him source early 60 Series dash switches from overseas at cost, no markup. He agreed to buy them, so I paid upfront and had my picker ship them directly to him. After that, he went silent. Five weeks later, he messaged just to say they arrived—no mention of payment.

I had to follow up multiple times. Eventually, I warned him I’d post about it publicly if he didn’t pay. Only then did he finally send the money.

The supplier in Yemen is far more responsive than the guy in the U.S. with the abundance of resources.
You probably could've bicycled across the US to Baltimore, hopped a ride on a freighter, sailed across to Yemen, met the supplier there and gotten the parts in person faster

Now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are.

Friend tells stories of when he operated in Yemen. Said it was the dirt worst.
 
It seems the chargeback worked. I recommend you do the same and not look back. Talent is no excuse for negligence, and I regret ever placing an order with this person.

Gonna unsub and drive into the horizon now.

You are 4.5 hours each way from Annapolis.
It will take you less time to drive down and knock on his door then drive home than it will to get an answer digitally.
