I think I am going to pull the trigger on this sale. I don't think we will see a 25% off sale for a long time.
I sent an email to Serra Toyota's parts department. I received a reply:

May 19-26 15% off everything
June 1-9 25% off parts

Orders over $75.00 ship free.

No promo codes required.

Whoa…. Should I wait? I legit want to order Bushings, and the front upper and lower control arms.

That’s a question only you can answer. Small parts often don’t make a difference but when you have heavy expensive parts you can save hundreds of dollars waiting the extra week. And usually, it’s 25% additional to the already marked down parts….which is substantial.

I mean its kinda obvious to wait for bigger items. Especially if this waiting will save you >$100..

The easy things to order on these sales is brake rotors, control arms, CV's, shocks, etc. Things that aren't necessarily expensive, but would normally eat you alive on shipping. Putting a list together now.

Yup. I will be waiting until the 25% sale for my control arms. I’ll place the small item order today.

Dang.. thanks for that heads up.. I just picked up a 100 that needs some baselining: new CVs, brake master, radiator.. Might get a bumper for my 60 too... That extra 10% will make a big difference.

Man, parts for 100s cost a lot more than for 60s

It all depends on how soon you need it. Ordering from the 25% sale means you may be waiting 1-2 months to get your parts
You can avoid this and get parts a lot quicker by using one of the many SE Toyota dealers that participate in these sales. They may not pack things perfectly like Serra, but you can certainly get them a lot quicker than that (within a week of ordering has been my experience).

I don't mind waiting. I am not in a rush. Plus Eric, and his team, re-pack everything perfectly.

Anyone getting a Lexus discount email?

I need new headlight for my LX.
I got the email from Dan at Bell Lexus in Arizona:

Do these guys ever sell new straps that keep 3rd row seats upright? Anyone know where to find some? Velcro didn't work for me and would like to avoid some other clever solution.

Got myself rear brakes and pads for $209. Would've waited for the sale in june but I needed them asap, starting to feel some pulsing
Not to get off topic, but pulsing can also be the sign of a seized calipers piston. I had to replace a caliper on a rust free truck last year. A A official rebuild kit was at least 50% of the price so I just went with a dealer supplied caliper on sale. Diagnosed with a temp gun, then disassembly. Double check when you do the pads.

I think Lexus of Akron is having a big sale. Not sure though, I don’t see that the prices are discounted

Edit: I see now. I had to click on the specific part to see the discount

Confirmed this with Serra today. I have an order I placed this week at 15% off, I’ll prob just leave it since they seem pretty backed up and I don’t want to lose my place in the queue. But if you want to save an extra 10% and don’t mind waiting, order in June.

Their prices are reasonable to begin with, and with free shipping and 25% off, you’re close to getting OE at Rockauto aftermarket prices.

Will do, I know I still need rotors+pads because i just swapped pads half a year ago to delay the inevitable.
