I had the opportunity to work with a production company on a Toyota (TMC) Japan production for their Land Cruiser Channel on YouTube. They reached out to the museum and myself looking for a loaner vehicle for a planned production they had in the works. We sent them a bunch of pics of clean US 40's, 55 and a 60. For giggles I tossed in some 7x Series pics. Given their audience is primarily Japan, they chose my HZJ77 :D. They spent some time with Mr @cruiserdan and Greg M at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum and then we hit the trails. I sorted the logistics of the off-road route and made sure they didn't destroy a Land Cruiser. Eric is a great driver and was fun to coach up the more technical obstacles in the canyon. Lots of 7x Series content, enjoy!

Been loving this series Kurt! So cool to see a 77 getting some love. Really nice example too. And the best color. Lol.

Just to be clear... Did you sell it to Eric at JDM legends, or is it on loan? I knew it was yours but was sad to think you might've sold it.

Sold it for the show :D It‘s a gem! It’s the 4th or 5th? Land Cruisers Direct imported vehicle I’ve owned and while I don’t love the 1HZ at these elevations, I love the truck.

It’s still mine, camped in it last night and @landcrusher909 and I drove it down the the LCHH tonight.

I feel your pain. Living at 3600 feet and then driving into the mountains is not my truck's favorite place to be. Lol. But its still awesome. Glad you're keeping yours. I wonder if Eric will end up getting his own? 😉

Good question. I was actually just hanging out with him for a minute at a Vintage Japanese Car show here in town. Rob's (@landcrusher909) FJ45LPB got a ton of attention.

How did I not know about that? :bang:

Because it's 100% organized and marketed on Facebook :D

We rolled in with a few Cruisers and a MegaCruiser. They caught some eyes but admittedly are nowhere near as pretty as the many Toyota cars 😎

That explains it. :flipoff2:

Segway.

I traded a 38,000 mile '77 RA29 and a 50,000 mile '85 MA61 to get the down payment for my 80 back in 1993.

Oh this takes me back. I taught myself how to drive stealing my uncle's 1978 Toyota Hilux five-hook-bed while he napped on those hot summer noons thousands of miles away...
I was either 12 or 13 and could barely push that high clutch pedal...
Thanks for sharing these pics.

Watch the all episodes for me the LC is the ultimate truck for working and going around the world period

@Rigster ….. “Dan nailed it when he described the Land Cruiser as not just some vehicle that you use, but it is a member of the family! (ep 3) ❤️

Is it okay to occasionally swap family members for different family members? 😊

yes. sell a kid, buy a cruiser.

I was thinking more along the lines of trading in the drunk uncle that shows up at all of the family reunions. 😁
