FWIW, they both illuminate when the parking/marker lights are on, but neither of them have a separate light to indicate when the aux. lights are on. ;)

They both do come with pigtails which would make tie installation easier though!

Are you referring to the switch with Toyota Part Number 00550-35976

The Toy switches fit perfectly. Just went out and tried it.

I have yet to pull the coin fillers, so I'm not sure how much space is underneath
There's plenty of space underneath, just not on the sides. Take a pair of pliers and pull on the center spacer thing.. It should just pop right out.

Ordered this from susquehanna / rallylights.com and just got them today and it is not what is on the picture they have on the website, the one with the square amber light.

The one they sent me which is the only one available from them is the one with the round amber light, just like the one on post #75.

Which is fine except that I had to pay for shipping on this one which I could have gotten from my regular Toyota dealer if they had the correct picture.

That's an expensive switch. At least in Japan it is!

Toyota had this type (see attached pics) of fog switch on both LC80 (for JDM 80 with built-in and aux. fog lights, and Surf/4Runner).

I "think" it allows you to have two sets of lights come on with the marker/headlights.
But you can use only one set of fog/aux. lights at a time and not both on simultaneously(sp.)
Does that make any sense?

The OEM set-up was for two sets of fog lights (one built-in and another aux.).
BUT I would have a set of fog lights which I would use for around town or for foul weather and a pair of driving lights for rural roads, if that works.

BUT I don't know if they (aux. lights) turn off when you flash the lights or get the high beams on or stay on. (My '90 Integra's built-in fog turned off whenever I turned on the highbeams.)

Anyway, just an F.Y.I.

Mot:)

That double throw fog switch is part 84160-28010. Looks to have come on the 4x4 Van, LE model (Surf MasterAce) and may have been supplied with Bosch OEM fog lamp add-ons. Not made anymore, but looks to be readily available for $40+ http://oemparter.com/oem-parts/8416028010.html. You'll need the appropriate wiring harness or creative soldering.
There is currently one one of these on E-bay with lamps from a HiAce http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-TOYOTA-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ce59d90d7&vxp=mtr

Your other post https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/illuminated-hid-fog-switches.309308/page-3. Horizontal OEM fog switch 84165-16020 or 84165-60020 (non-toggle, momentary switch, apparently needs special relay)
Vertical style: 84160-52030, 84160-60050, 84160-44020 or 84165-60010 (non-toggle, momentary switch, apparently needs special relay)

This OEM fog switch has wiring tabs and does not require a harness plug and it's only $10: 00550-35976. These are made by Cole Hersee, so can be ordered in a multitude of styles (without markings).

I just put an order in for all 7 part numbers from toyota japan. We'll see what's still available there.

BUMP.

Did you receive these switches? I would like to use the dual function switch for both my LightForce driving lights and some fog lamps I want to install in my ARB bumper.

It's not clear what functionality you desire--do you want the option to run both lights at the same time or only one or the other?

Trk204 reported that the dual throw switch fog switch (chose one, but not both) was P/N 84160-28010, but I believe that part was for a green-lighted fog lamp that has been discontinued.

If you want something that will work similarly, you could repurpose a rear heater switch. If you want to run either, or both at the same time, you'll have to figure something out yourself in a three-way switch.

For those with interest, I ran across this JDM rear fog switch for an IS200/IS300, Part # 84165-53010

I just want to run one at a time. I intend the fog lights to be just that, so there is no need to have driving lights on at the same time. I have bunch of switches that I have pulled from the local pick-n-pull over the years. Maybe one of them could be used. Several sites still list the 84160-28010 switch as in stk, but it would seem not to be the case. However, I would like to use the 84165-53010 for a rear work lamp I plan on installing later this summer.

If you want to run one at a time, you'll need two of the 84160-28010, or whatever other switch you've beeen able to harvest at the Pick-n-Pull, or ordered based on the above references. If you buy used on E-bay or from a Pick-n-Pull, try to get the harness with it, which makes the wiring that much easier. For new, it seems easiest and cheapest to get a Scion fog switch, 84160-52030, or just go with the generic Toyota switch 00550-35976 available on e-bay and elsewhere on-line. You can get generic harnesses for these by taking the switches with you to the Pick-n-Pull and seeing what plugs in from a random Toyota. And like I said, it would be easy to rig up a rear heater switch to run two sets of lights, one at a time. There's also a thread here regarding how to change out the switch graphics, if you look hard enough.
