Too many projects... ooh, look. Something shiny.
Ok because I am a glutton for punishment, I've been looking into the different engine lengths as possibilities for different swaps, i.e. HZ into Prado, PZ or other in to Tacoma etc...
Much intent searching has yielded virtually nothing of use so I figured I'd start a thread here with the pertinent information.
I'll update more as I can measure stuff out.
At present, I'm measuring bell housing mating surface to forward most point of fan clutch. Obviously, you could use an electric fan and save some length, but in some cases there are other things that stick out nearly as far.
1HZ, 1 HDT: 34-1/2" to fan clutch.
2LT-E: 26" bell to fan clutch
1KZ-TE about 28" bell to fan
1PZ about 31" to front of fan clutch. The power steering pump would be the next longest part clocking in around 29"
