Have you ever been to a Toyota dealership parts center? It’s not Amazon, it‘s not a Napa. It’s usually run by one dude who may or may not know anything about Toyotas. I encourage folks to temper their expectations in this thread,…….
Huh..why do you think that one dude that does actual work makes decisions? I respect that one dude. Your reasoning is little flawed. At least my order was settled via PayPal and the temporary hold has expired. So, I need to check with them and update the payment method, or not sure if it will ever ship. If I remember correctly, Decatur was only expecting PayPal for high dollar value orders. In any case , I am yet to email or call them for first time.

i am surprised that so many people ordered from the toyota of decatur. @sdnative posted that he had ordered from Village Toyota, so I did the same. Village Toyota prices were the same or very close.

That's what happens when something goes viral.

Seems greed on both ends is causing delays more than anything else. If there counter was ringing non stop, they could have paused and reassessed it to their capacity and comittment to ship items on time and then continued, unless those are already back order items. Still waiting on my single order for more than a month. Will contact Decatur tomorrow …

This seemed to be a promotion organized by Toyota corporate so the franchise dealers with their parts departments probably had no choice but to deal with it. As I posted earlier some of the business decisions, like having a heavy brake caliper shipped 2-day air from a warehouse to the dealer, to then be shipped to me.. in the context of month-long order waits, are absolutely money-losers. But that's what happens. Toyota wanted to do a sale..

While it isn't Amazon, the internet parts department of the place I use in town is nothing like the retail parts counter up front. Professional-level packing, decent inventory, don't have to wait on hold an hour if you call them and need something.

Not comparing them to Serra, just saying, some of these operations have taken what they do seriously and are helping put the nails in the coffin of the retail parts counter.

Also ordered from Decatur in my rush to get a deal. Got my order a few days ago, but had to email them. Once I emailed he responded the next day saying it would ship out that night. Received my order a few days later. Those guys must’ve wondered wtf was going on haha.

Got my parts from Village today 4 Rotors no packaging around em, they look OK though. I however did not receive my fluid level sensor from them which is part of the same order. They said they are looking into it.
Still waiting for my rad and other associated parts from Decatur. They keep saying next week but I understand.

I had 3 orders from Decatur (none have arrived yet). Paid for all 3 via Paypal. The last two orders hit my credit card about a week after ordering, but the first order (and by far the biggest) still has not hit my card yet. Curious what it means on their end when they send the charge to the card - does it mean they've told Paypal that they've shipped? Because it's been exactly one month today since those two charges hit my credit card...

For the past few years I have had this issue with paypal and Toyota dealers, some hit my card instantly while others do not charge until they ship. I read up on some forums saying its the software the dealers use and how it communicates with Paypal. Other companies tend to not charge me until the orders are shipped.
My guess is Toyota loves to charge restocking fees if you cancel the order (EVEN if parts are backordered)

Ordered from Decatur on 3/17, fourteen pieces, arrived yesterday.

I did email to ask about the status a couple weeks ago, so maybe the squeaky wheel got the grease.

Found my washer fluid level sensor, it was hiding in the box. But for some timeframe

I place my order with Village Toyota on 4/11 and my 5 parts arrive today 4/28

For Decatur I ordered a plethora of parts on 3/16 and it still has not shipped. I also placed another order for AHC fluid and no update. I get they are swamped and I have pinged them and it sounds like they are slowly catching up

Double check everything is in the box. Two of my Decatur orders have been missing parts, one missing so many that I assumed they would be in a separate shipment. When contacted they seemed surprised that order wasn’t complete, but have been sorting it out without complaint.

I sent my first email to follow up on my order and they told me that if the caliper rebuild kit arrives this week, my order will ship. So I guess they're waiting for the caliper rebuild kit which is understandable with all the shortages.

I put in three separate orders and haven't receive any of the parts from Decatur. I'm sure they'll arrive eventually, but I'm sure glad I didn't need anything urgently!

I’d like to do my rad and WP service before it gets hot in SoCal, so I’m glad parts are arriving. It’s the only thing keeping me from taking the truck on trails
Out of all the parts I ordered from Decatur (none have shipped), the radiator worries me the most regarding poor packaging leading to shipping damage. It will probably be the first thing I install once I receive everything, just to verify that it's in good shape.
