Lock your glove box and keep the key blade with you!! This is the only way to completely avoid a broken recirc door.
Also before you leave give the skid plates a look.. they often put the bolts in the wrong locations.. or leave them off entirely.

When I changed the cabin filter (it looked like the original! sooooo dirty) I'm pretty sure that my door is already broken - score!

I'm going to have to take some pics beforehand so I can make sure there's no bolt shenanigans, but I did a little poking around for reviews on the dealership and didn't find an archive of horror stories about the service dept thankfully.
