Got all my parts from Serra at Decatur (minus the radiator, which they stopped shipping to people). 3 orders, shipped as 7 packages. Heavy stuff separated out into their own boxes.

I got stuff in a Fram box as well… I wonder what a Toyota dealership is doing with Fram stuff and 20W50 motor oil.

I was wondering the same thing 🤔

Easy call for me; my local Toyota dealer does not use OEM parts for most things that are available aftermarket. That's one reason I no longer use their service dept.

As the standard or an option? I've seen dealerships offer both.

I'm still waiting for parts from my order from Serra of Decatur. I'm pretty disappointed in the way this dealer handled the process. In the future, I'll be sticking with my normal dealers (Olathe, Boch and McGeorge).

Same here. The savings wasn’t worth the wait.

Standard. They charge OEM prices but don’t tell customers about the change. I bet it’s extremely rare (basically never) that any customer notices or cares.

I called yesterday and the guy who does online parts was out, and the parts person on the phone was incredibly dismissive complaining about the volume of orders that they received during the sale. Like others, paypal payment authorization expired, so I paid again via credit card - they happily took payment for all three orders, but failed to send two parts and there was no indication of backorder. Email responses were terse.

At the end of the day they were the unlucky and unprepared recipients of a situation created by Toyota corporate and reddit. I think many of you have been more than patient enough and assume many, many more people weren't.

Kinda fits into the "if it seems too good to be true" camp..

But what I learn from this is if another sale like this emerges I'll avoid the vendor that is getting blasted all over the internet and find another dealer included in the regional promotion that should be far less overwhelmed. I already have a list of stuff for that next sale if it happens.

I just got shipping confirmation for one of my orders 🎉 🙄

Received my order yesterday. Took exactly 3 months to the day to receive the order. Happy to have it and I can't complain about the pricing.

I had to go pick up my radiator in person and it was a mad house..... you can see boxes of parts everywhere and packing slips all over the parts managers desk/ floor.

All parts accounted for (except radiator, of course). Happy to have OEM wiper blades again instead of what PO had installed (although those work fine, too).

Saved so much $. Just need to buy the rad locally now.
