I just read an article about people overdosing on Ivermectin in Oklahoma. They are taking it to fight Covid. Ivermectin is a damn HORSE wormer.

Fing IDIOTS.

New age natural selection at it's finest.
They are some kind of deficient. Now this is a good fight.

@NCFJ, Natural selection need a little help from the
veterinarians.

I am done with too many idiots running around not using their brains, nor working to earn a living.

Yes, that story turned out to be false, but people are taking Ivermectin to try and fight COVID. There are some doctors who are prescribing it, but apparently are being met with a lot of resistance from hospitals and most other doctors. A friend of mine from high school said that she and her family have been taking it and that she swears she has seen it work on others who have had COVID. I humored her by listening to what she had to say, but my take on it is that if the vast majority of the medical and scientific community are saying that the vaccine and masks are our best weapons in the fight against COVID, then that's what I'm going with and not anything that a few random doctors are pushing. Just my $0.02.

Horse meds? For humans? Nay.

I’m trying to find the article I read last week about the situation where a guys family doctor prescribed him ivermectin
but the hospital that filled the script refused to administer it. The guy sued the hospital and the local judge ordered the hospital to give him the shot.

And just think…we’re still only approaching the FIRST layer of hell.

OK, so here's my rant....

If people are really buying horse drugs and taking them without a doctor, that's pretty scary.

But calling Ivermectin only a horse drug is either ignorant or pushing an agenda. It's a drug for parasites and malaria in humans or animals that won the nobel prize.

Debating efficacy against COVID is fine (I don't care about your opinion either way unless your my doctor) but calling every version of it a horse drug is just plain not true.

It's worth noting that ivermectin is not FDA approved for used in humans against COVID-19. It is approved for humans use *only* "for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea".

It's also worth noting that ivermectin is produced specifically for animals as well, and the use of animal formulations of ivermectin, which are different than human formulations somehow, is the problem.

Conclusion: Calling ivermectin a horse drug is not ignorant nor pushing an agenda. If people are taking the animal formulation of ivermectin, it is a "horse drug".

If you're going to use the phrasing of part of my post in a follow up please don't leave words out.

The drug itself is neither human or horse specific. Formulations of it can be made either way. Neither one is FDA approved for COVID and I'm not suggesting it's good or anyone should take it. I'm not a doctor.

The fact still stands that calling Ivermectin "only a horse drug" is not telling the truth. As I also said, people taking the animal version is pretty scary.

[begin sarcasm] One thing is for certain...I'm damn glad that people finally realize one needn't be a trained and licensed medical professional in order to be 100% adamant that their personal medical opinion is, indeed, indisputable fact that should be treated as gospel. [end sarcasm]

Oh :poop: - that could go both ways. We're doomed if this gets out!

My real problem is that Digital Content Editors have largely replaced Investigative Journalists.

For the record, I was speaking to the horse version of the drug. All the publicity I have seen on the subject shows the stuff we buy for our horses. I have no dog in the fight, I just find it odd, to say the least. I did not chase down the story at the time I read it to verify the source, I just found it oddly amusing.

I skipped the wormer and went straight to the vaccine. Hopefully it is good for another mutation or two at least.

Dunno Stan, no one really knows what Ivermectin does to patients until we can interview Mr. Ed, he never lies.

Eddie, you can question him if you like. I don't understand a word he says.

Somewhere on that property of yours there’s a pile of Eddie’s past meals.
There are some little mushrooms growing on that pile.
Snack on a few of those, and everything he says will make total sense.
