Is everyone in Clemson OK? News is reporting that Clemson was hit twice by tornadoes as of 4 pm. The first one came around 245 and hit downtown near the Astro and dropped some trees on cars. The second was supposed to have hit around 340.

Spoke with Marshall who said Becca was OK.
My MIL in Seneca hasn't seen much.
I hear Young JP is out chasing a twister...
Waiting to hear back from Gundy's driver...

Yeah pretty crazy. Becca said the sirens went off 3 times so far. I head the north side behind downtown was hit hard. Also heard Little John has some damage. Talked with JP about 30 min ago who said he was following a large circulation in Sandy Springs.

Is JP in his 40?!?!? I hope he has his goggles...

My MIL owns a business about a half block or less from the Astro - I wonder if it was hit hard...

I called JP but it went straight to VM. I wonder if he was carried off?

I heard the second one hit near the Clemson Research Park on Hwy 187, but I don't think it did a ton of damage.

This is the one I saw...... didn't last very long or I caught it on the tale end, but I did spot another one just out side clemson a few minutes later and it lasted maybe a few moments. It would wind up and touch down to the top of the trees and then dissapate it was pretty week. These where the ones around 340pm I missed the bigger ones that came through earlier in downtown Clemson

these twisters were nothing like what you guys have out there..... they were anemic and short lived for sure, but still dangerous none the less I suppose

I wonder how much that sucker weighs......JP now that you have graduated after 10 years now is the time to put off your architectual abilities for a little longer and start your own tornado chaser group here in SC all ya gotta do is call NOAA and see if they'll fund ya.....you should go with a name like redneck racers for your company name!

old joke

How is a twister and a divorce in Clemson alike?

Somebody's gonna lose a mobile home. :grinpimp:

It rained cats and dogs here in Pumpkintown and the wind howled like crazy.
I joked to Lynn that we installed that clawfoot tub just in time. Climb in and hold the couch
cushions over our heads. Then we saw the warning for Pumpkintown!!!!
Our actual plan was go to the hallway with pillows and cushions.
Good to see no reported injuries.

Used to do that in the dorms down in Miami. My kids did it here in the house during the '04/'05 'cane season.

Glad everyone is OK. When it happens, I kinda enjoy watchin' the $hit hit the fan. It's the cleanup afterwards that sucks...
