I've been out of work for the past week since I had some vacation to burn and since the baby hasn't come yet I've been able to sneak out to the cruiser a bit.

Jason - what are you working on?

Made it up to Wally's for some troopy work. Did some grinding and priming on the looooong quarter panels, we modified the FJ25 bib to accept '75 headlight buckets which solved the oem headlight bucket/radiator depth problem, figured out the WS resto plan (thanks for the graft Kina), considered Vintage and Old Air AC systems...and decided no dice so it will be oem heat for now. Next trip we start the engine and see what happens .

Working on the 40. It's currently in Russ garage this winter so I want to get as much done on it as possible. Ordered the clutch parts today and hope to pick up some steel in the next week.

Got my mini truck disk conversion parts cleaned up and prep'ed for install.
And FINALLY...;-) got that York compressor out of my garage.
Couldn't have done it without Jason, Bob and my main mechanic Nate.

would like to just do a visit with my kids...would be cool to meet up with you as well

Hey Johnny - not sure when the next trip out will be. Maybe sometime in Jan if I can get away. Will let you know if a plan comes together. Would be great to see you and the kids.

Leaping Deer, what are you looking for as far as metal? Maybe I can help.

Thanks Bob.

Hey Bob I'm looking for two 4x8 sheets of 1/8th inch sheet
Some 3x3 or 4x4 by 3/16 angle iron. Two pieces about 3 ft long
About 4 ft of 2x2 box steel 1/8 or 3/16
4.5 ft of 2x4 box steel 3/16 thick.

Not too much in terms of wrenching but I ordered my SOA kit and anti wrap bar since they have been offering 15% off for the week after Christmas. I also picked up a Blue Torch diff cover off a mud member for $60.

Will you even have time to wrench anymore with the new baby and all?

Perfect!

I actually got some time to work on the 40 and have spent the last 3 days stripping it and getting it ready for the tundra motor.

Removed the seats and steering column

Broke out the plasma cutter and removed the rusty floors...best tool to have

Cut the engine mounts off, shock towers and removed almost everything from the engine bay

Got the engine in place and now need to fab up engine mounts and a transfer case support. The motor actually fits in better then I thought it was going.

Hats off to you Chris! Looks like a lot of work but it's going to be pretty unique when its done!

A big wow from me Chris! That's a huge amount of progress since I saw you on Thursday! It looks like it was actually made to go in there width and length wise.

I shouldn't have any sensor problems because I have them all and they will all be going in the 40.
I will also be installing the tundra steering column and this cluster of wires. It is going to take some time an a lot of work Lane but it will be worth it, at least that what I have to keep telling myself :D

The steering column and the WTF wire harness
