Spent the afternoon getting the 350 and SM465 into the 40. Got it placed and the motor mounts welded in. I still need to set up the propeller mount for the tcase.

Pics please! would really like to see how you did the motor mounts.

I'll take some tomorrow. I still have to pull of again to grind down some bogger welds and weld them all the way around and still have to install the clutch. Placed it kind of high too to keep the drivetrain up. I have about an inch or so clearance with the hood.

Looking good, now pull the fenders off so you have more room to work!

Downy cable rear locker setup.
Not bad for being up @ 2am for work, then swerve home, and then starting this process

Nice! Like where the knob sits!

Unfortunately I realized that a b diesel wouldn't push 37-39" tires or at least for a reasonable cost. Sorry bud.

Before you finish weld those mounts, mock up your steering and also get some manifolds on that thing. I think it was JR who had a place to get ram's horn manifolds. It might be the picture angle, but it looks mighty high in the engine bay!

I have to pick up the block hugged headders from John Corcoran and find a saginaw box. It looks like I would have enough clearance for the steering. Any lower with the motor and I think I'll have clearance issue with the ps pulley. I agree that its a little high but it clears the hood by an inch or so. I have also heard that this of mount will settle a little. I also thought if its high it will keep the SM465 out and tcase more protected.

Spent last night starting to tear the tbi harness down. Its surprisingly east although I think I am missing something.

Hey jason
Are you running a HEI dizzy or something else make sure the engine isn t to high that you can t get the dizzy out .

Cleaned up my newly acquired gas tank skid plate, taillight guards, and installed the factory WW sprayers to replace the hideous aftermarket one that were on my 80. Also swapped the sliding rear window surrounds, what a huge pain in the ass that was. Bent the surround a bit taking it out, so had to reshape some of the metal part, but now both windows latch :) HUGE thanks to ken349 for all the parts :)

Been getting some stuff done. Welded up some mounts for the propeller mount. Cut out the tranny tunnel around the tranny. Pulled some wiring I missed for the tbi and started working on that some more. Also got a little work done on the seat mounts. I

Well, you're doing better than me. The 40 sits out in the yard with a tarp over it right now.
