the problem comes in if you are running an electric winch. If you were to hit both buttons at the same time you would create a dead short across the battery through the relays. If you are going that route you need to add an additional circuit that kills one of the antenna switches when the other is pushed.

Using a rocker switch is by far the cheapest and safest way to go as by design only one side is pushed at a time.

if using the antenna buttons, maybe i'll go with slee's design with the dpdt relays then. i like the rocker switch idea as well, just not sure what route i want to go yet

Nice job Tom. Did you bend it yourself?

Started the process of getting my dual battery setup going. Added a 9000i to the front bumper, so i thought i'd back it up with a yellow-top.
Didn't spend the $$$ on slee's relocation bracket, instead, just used a few pieces of crap i had lying around, nothing fancy, but it works.
Getting a 91 batt box/gas tank skid/rear wiper arm sent from Montana soon, then it's replacing all the tie-rods, then i will feel much better about taking the cruiser out to play.

^ Good job. I made my own too. Not worth buying Slees. It's easy to make.

looking good Tom. will see how it holds up this sunday.

Tom I already told you, no matter how many times you ask, you can't drive your buggy over my 40:hillbilly:

Mated the SM465 to the 3spd case and converted it from vaccume s*** to manual shift. Picking up a tbi 350 this week.

Beadlocks

I recently installed some beadlocks and what a lot of work.

I spent 2 hours on the 1st one and then 2 hours on the 2nd one and then took the 1st one back apart to fix the things I learned on the 2nd one.

I'm running the Dyna-beads and I had them spin-balanced, 1 made it too 0.
The other was @ 12 oz. out, so I'm going to break it back down and spin it 180 *

Raceline 15x8 w/ 3.25 backspacing.

My front wheel distance prior was 76" (15x10 w/ 3.75 b/s) now 77.5" :D

You can get the beadlocks to balance out, but you need Radial tires and a lot of patience. I need them to balance because I drive to the Trail, no trailer.

It looks like I'll have to wait until after the Holidays to start on the back two. :crybaby:

I don't mind I'm doing the work in the middle of the kitchen floor, warm and the beer is close. :hillbilly:

Is it the picture or is it ass heavy?

The driveway is on a slope

All 40's have the ass droop. :grinpimp:

I swapped the springs around before, but it just settles again.

The hard-top 220 lbs, spare tire on the rear w/ bumper and the 27 gal. under body fuel tank. 525 lbs on the ass.

Thats not including the High-Lift and the 3/16" steel quarter panels.

I should work on making the ass-end lighter.
