I'm running 285/65 18's on my 2015 LC. The installer tells me 37 psi is correct but I feel like it's low? What are you all doing or think about this? Thanks

Can you please state the full size description? Are the tires LT? P? No leading letter, but what then is the Load Index (e.g. 116, etc.)?
It would also help if you stated the tire brand and model, like BFG KO2, etc.

With that info I can provide the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure.

Will provide load range and leading letter shortly. Other info is stated in heading etc. Thanks

OK. Will assume you are asking about LT285/65R18/E 125/122R BFG KO2's on your LC200 - in that case:

The RCTIP for those LT285/65R18/E 125/122R tires on your LC200 is 42psi F/R.

Rendered moot after clarification

OK just ran outside, here's what you're asking. LT285/60 R 18 Load Range D. 118/115 S...Thanks for the help.

OK, so you are NOT asking about "285/65 18's" as originally posted; but are asking about LT285/60R18/D 118/115S tires, right? On a LC200, NOT an LX570, right?

As they say on that famous game show, this is my final answer:

The RCTIP for those LT285/60R18/D 118/115S BFG KO2 tires on your LC200 (NOT applicable for LX570) is 46psi F/R.

So yes, you are dangerously underinflated at the 37psi your installer (incorrectly) recommended.

WOW, WOW, WOW! I can't believe I've been this far off for so long? Thank you. This explains my poor gas mileage.

Glad to see you finally up to the correct pressure - safe driving!

P.S. Don't forget to reset your TPMS system ;)

Just in case anyone needs a reminder, here's how to reset the TPMS:

With your tires set to 46psi, and the pressure warning system initialized at that pressure, the tire pressure warning will occur at about 35psi.

Thanks for the great information. I have a 2014 LX570 running the exact same tires BFG KO2 LT285/60R18 118/115S Load Range D. If I should run a different pressure than the 46 you mention above could you help me with that number? Presumably a weight or AHC difference that creates the different pressure recommendation? Thanks for any info you can share. Much appreciated.

The RCTIP for those LT285/60R18 tires on your LX570 is 41psi F/R.

Toyota/Lexus engineered the suspensions on the two vehicles to provide optimum safe performance with different tire spring rates (i.e. tire pressures). Different vehicles, different suspensions, different engineering considerations from the manufacturer - simple as that.

Makes perfect sense. Thank you very much.

This is such a helpful resource!
2008 LX 570
BFG AT KO2 LT275/70R/18 125/122R load range E

Excellent question!

The RCTIP for those LT275/70R18 tires on your LX570 is 36psi F/R.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Stupid question but would the RCTIP for same tire on a 2017 LC200 be different? Reason I ask is that in earlier post you called out LC v LX... Happy Thanksgiving!!

Yes, the RCTIP for an LC200 is different.
