That’s the biggest tease on Mud. You could hook an cruiser addict elephant with that line. Luckily I took some Benadryl to curb the itch.

Pics or it did not happen!

As you wrote that I was on my laptop downloading pics. I thought this would get some interest.
Those who know Tink should rest easy. I am looking forward to simply preserving this gem. She modeled soft tops for Spector Off Road years ago. Here she is in an elegant black canvass top, ready for a night out.

I have been reading the preservation threads here on Mud and I am looking forward to trying my hand at helping this old girl last another 60 years.

Interested to see what people post on paint rejuvenation techniques. Also vinyl seat rejuvenation.

I’m no expert, but mIne had clear lenses with amber bulbs. Mid 65 build date.

Edit-after doing a search, it looks like most early 40 experts feel the lenses were all Amber.

I have been following both.

Good thread on saving original paint.

The side mirror had been changed out with a white base and a newer arm. The long bolt broke in an odd way. The nut took all the threads off as I removed it. I will be looking for original bolts for this side.
The passenger side had a generic side mirror installed at some point. Will be on the look out for an original Horizon Blue mirror arm.

Worked on replacing the pyramidal vinyl on the running boards. The passenger side had large amount of dirt from her California days stuck inside the support. Most of the trim screws broke. I had some M5 truss head stainless screws that look good. Managed to not break the other bolts. Will get them cleaned and re-plated. The passenger side had a dent that I was able to pull out.

I have to ask about front turn signals. Clear lenses with yellow bulbs? Or, yellow lenses with clear bulbs? The hint of yellow on the lenses appears to be rust from the housings.
Orange Koito lenses on the turn signals. Clear bulbs. I have a few if you want clear originals. Your bib lights are correctly clear.
@ToyotaMatt does have amber bulbs if you wanted to preserve the faded lens but still have orange signals.
Subscribed. Love this truck.
