So I just received my long-awaited shipment of front wheel bearings, races, etc from Impex Japan. All bearings are packaged in Toyota / Lexus candy cane boxes- as usual. The outer wheel bearings are Koyos made in Japan. The inner bearings are Timkens made in Mexico. Now, I love Mexico and Mexican people. But are Timken bearings from Mexico any good or should I go through my company’s industrial parts supplier and buy Koyo inners made in Japan?

Timken's great, OE quality. Think people give the nod to Koyo because the LC is made in Japan too, so some weird association.
I have a Fender Stratocaster from decades ago that I bought when I was in high school- made in Mexico, great quality. I was just surprised to see Timken bearings shipping from JP and made in Mexico. I’ll give ‘em a go and see what happens.

I was also bummed to see my recent Denso air filter with "made in china" stamped on it..... and a Purolator cabin air filter that has the American flag and "American product" written on the box, to open up and see made in china stamped on it lol

IDK, I'm sure its fine but I do like seeing made in japan or america when I am purchasing something...Unless it's a drone then China wins 100% of the time

Timken is a top notch brand. But made in Mexico??

Hate to hear that. I’ve been relying on timken for most of my lifetime for all bearing needs.
