There is one single 10 mm bolt that holds the dizzy clamp in place. What difference would my socket size make? Or am I missing your point?

I definitely have a single bolt clamp. That's for sure. I tried uploading a photo but it didn't work.

so what's the current status of the very unique short 12mm hex bolt holding the 1 hole updated clamp down in theory securely in place firm and snuggly hand torqued ...

Up too you mentioned you only were adjusting the 10mm box bolt ?

The one that’s horizontal in location correct ?
 
Yes sir. It is horizontal. Oh, and my mistake, it's actually a 10 mm nut that I loosen to rotate the dizzy. I'd love to show you a photo.
