Timing issues

There is one single 10 mm bolt that holds the dizzy clamp in place. What difference would my socket size make? Or am I missing your point?

Distributor Clamp with Two Bolts

Just bought a 6/72 FJ40 and it has the F engine number label. I searched the forum but couldn't find my answer so... why does my distributor mount point have two threaded holes while the OEM distributor clamp for this year only has one (single sided)? I found an example of a clamp on eBay...

I definitely have a single bolt clamp. That's for sure. I tried uploading a photo but it didn't work.

so what's the current status of the very unique short 12mm hex bolt holding the 1 hole updated clamp down in theory securely in place firm and snuggly hand torqued ...

Yes sir. It is horizontal. Oh, and my mistake, it's actually a 10 mm nut that I loosen to rotate the dizzy. I'd love to show you a photo.
