The clutch slave / fork assy is on the wrong side.
I've bolted 2F manifolds onto an F and believe it works the other way also.
The flywheel housings are symmetrical and the clutch fork and pivot ball can be mounted on one side or the other and function just fine.
Also, you can use the left rear engine mount slave cylinder configuration on the four-speed flywheel housing.

Excellent choice, Chris, in keeping it a six...and a 2F is a better engine than a '73 F.
I rebuilt my late F a couple times before I went to the 2F. You can put a 2F in your rig with no welding required.
You manifolds should bolt onto a 2F with perhaps just a little grinding for the larger manifold studs. So you can keep your carb, linkage and aircleaner all stock. The front motor mounts are slightly different on the 2F,(bigger bolts) but should bolt to your frame just fine. You can put your stock fan on the 2F waterpump and keep your shroud stock as well. You can use your stock distributer to get it running and decide on other options later. Or put a big head Toy side cover on the engine while it's out and use the bighead Toy dizzy. You have lots of options there.
Sure, you could buy a longblock from SOR, but they are sorta high-priced and shipping could be an issue. You could perhaps find a good used block here on Mud. Maybe get a 4 speed with it.
