cant get heater to blow hot air. heater core is not clogged and we replaced the water pump and new thermostat but my mechanic is asking if there should be a different thermostat then what oreillys sold us

Use the Toyota 190° thermostat.
Be sure to install the top rubber gasket ring above it... or it won't work at all.

I've seen those Oreilly t-stats. Crap.

thanks. the dealer gave me part number 9091603052 but couldn't tell me if it was a 190 deg thermostat. would you know if this is the correct one.

Officially in the USA there is only one thermostat available from Toyota for the FJ60...the 190°.

Yes that is the correct PN.

The 180° thermostat was meant to be used on a different vehicle, but some guys use it on the 60.

1980 FJ40 and earlier with 2F gas engine got the 180º F thermostat (82ºC)
PN: 90916-03048
[CORRECTION: 90916-03014]

1981 and later Cruisers with 2F gas engine got the 190ºF thermostat (88ºC)
PN: 90916-03052

There's an o-ring between the thermostat and the top of the housing. Is the radiator getting hot?

aweosome, thanks I will get it ordered.

I believe that part # (90913-03048) is discontinued. However, it seems to have been replaced with 90916-03014 ? Perhaps @beno can verify?
