I figured it was a typo. I'm getting kinda eggcited too!

Does the XL use a lot more fuel, like do you find it gets wasteful if you're just making a few burgers?

Any good internet vendors? I have no local vendor in this small town. :frown:

I would not one of these shipped. Go local, go to the Egg site and type in your zip code.

When im doing small meals i just pile last nights coals up in one of the corners and cook with half an Egg. thats a good method when doing surf n turff too, blaze your steak while slow cookin fish on the low temp side of the grill. You only use as much fuel as you want to cook with, i have found it to be very efficient. I re-use coals all the time. Tonight i did a 13lb turkey, lots of coals left over for my next smoke.... After every use you just shut down the vents and the old lump coal just goes out.

Just get one, i have sold about 6 of these things, i always tell my friends, "if you dont like it I will buy it from ya"...hell, i want one more anyway.... I have never had to buy one that i have recommended.

Just a cheap roast. Slipped it on low 220 ish for a few hours. The dry rub has alot of paprika, kosher salt and course ground pepper. I let go to long, at about 160* O well, cheap eats.

Finished goodies. I was not happy with the Prime. I got a really bad cut. Im forced to try it again ;D. The flavor was damn good, but, way too much fat..

I soaked the Salmon in Grapefruit juice over night. I would show a pick of the finished product but it was gone before i could get my camera out.

anyone try to make bamboo charcoal? I cut down a bunch of bamboo this weekend, might try to turn it into charcoal if I get around to it.
 
bamboo is a grass.

I'm not sure how well a grass would turn into "charcoal"
 
The problem with Green Eggs is that everything comes out tasting the same.......otherwise it's great...

Can you expand on that a bit? I'm thinking about getting one this summer. You mean because you're cooking different stuff in a relatively small space so the flavors blend? Or are you saying that no matter what meat you put in the egg, it comes out the same?
