With no working gauges (besides volt meter) I sent it on the Relic Run. Did all the trails at Uwharrie.

No working gauges, no center or rear locker, 25psi in the tires, welds still hot on the truck as I rolled away. Maiden voyage (further than 25 minutes).
Installed the front driveshaft after I arrived lol.

It was nice meeting you at Uwharrie in April!
Have you added caster plates and a Eimkeith PCK since then? Those will make a massive difference in how it drives with that lift

Wild!

Incredible build to not be a Toyota guy or off-roader! I love it when people go off the rails and just send it!

Please do tell more about the 1HZ and tranny.

Nice meeting you too! Hoping to see you all again next year.
I have added modified caster plates for 6°, but no pan hard correction yet. I’m currently piecing together a 1 ton GM TRE setup now. Just trying to make it more durable (not that it’s ever let me down)

What an amazing job @srf100 , congrats!

I hope to become a owner of an hzj 105 next year, good to see this option. Normally see guys doing sas on the 100s, but what you did might be better, potentially better flex since the frame from an ifs may not allow for the same kind of flex.

I have a lx470 and i love it, i much better prefer the body of the 100/lx470 then the 80. Personal preference.

Best of both worlds.
The only thing it would have been even more sweet, would be a 1hdtfte, but these are worth gold.

Is there an award for the best first thread? Holy #^@% dude, this is awesome. It's already an amazing build, but looking forward to seeing where you go next!

I had to modify the transmission crossmember further after everything settled to prevent the transfer case from rubbing. While I notched it, I powdercoated the cross member and the t-case skid plate. (New home made skid plates coming soon).
Started piecing together the tool/fluid/parts boxes that stay with the truck.
Also couldn’t help myself from adding rock lights.

Didn’t want a standard center console and I also didn’t want to plumb in the AC lines for a factory center console fridge. So I built a base platform, and mounted a 12V 23L fridge. (Eventually I’ll get a bigger fridge for the back). It’s the perfect width and height, all you have to do is remove the arm rests.

Also, a random trail picture from Uwharrie.

And measuring out the space between the shifter and the fridge for potential cup holder locations.

End of the season trail damage overview. Really not bad.

I’ve learned a lot this year about trails, my truck, choosing the right lines, what direction the truck will go in the future, what tools/parts/fluids I need and don’t need to carry, and so much more.

Constantly scrolling the forums and seeing what everyone else has done gives me tons of inspiration.

Everything beyond this will be fine tuning.

That damage shows that you are having lots if fun.

My lx470 both original bumpers destroyed, deep scratches all over the place and both front fenders damaged.

Keep enjoying!
