I'm excited about the possibility of a turbo diesel mine truck but am a bit concerned about the wider frame. Hopefully turning radius with lager tires won't suffer.

If their are using the same front diff maybe ..

sweet

wow:eek: shame that`ll never come to nz:crybaby:

Why they do not import it to NZ??!!

Hi "waydownunder80", I am really wondering why they do not bring it to NZ, the FZJ71 has the same engine same trany same every thing but the length , some body has to press on the Official TOYOTA dealer to force them to bring it, since so many people are interested which means more mony for the dealer (I think this is the main interest for them is MONEY) if you guys go and show the dealer that you all are interested it will force them to bring it, I AM SURE.

You guys should show the dealer that this 71 series interest you, I think they will have to bring it to your country if you do that.

Maybe a TOYOTA fan club can do that with you.

Have a nice day

fzj71

i`ll tell ya what i will mention that when i have to go on a training course on the new 70 series cruiser in 2 weeks time, I think it would be only a diehard core of people that would want one here toyota are to busy selling rav4`s,prado`s,hilux(too soft). though i hope some of the contractors that bought hilux`s and absolutely trashed them!! will look to a cruiser, only problem is there is no double cab & d/cab hilux outsell everything else that drives off the yard by at least 8 to 1,hopefully toyota nz bought a fzj71 out here for evaluation !! and have got it hidden away somewheres!!!!

I hope so

I agree with you that the 70 series needs a double cap FZJ79. I also agree that the Ravs, Hilux & Prado are soft:D .

I hope that the TOYOTA dealer in NZ have an FZJ71 hidden somewhere, but I do not think so, I think they have to be told by you guys (70 Series FANS) to order some and test them and see wether the fans are interested or not.

I think the FZJ71 series will be a strong competitor for the two door GU patrols. :grinpimp:

Hi sikocycles, if you are from the USA you can order them from Venezuella they are available in Petrol 4.5L or Diesel 4.2L, they are left hand Drive as in the USA. I have seen more than one in Canada.

Hi Friend...

Sorry my english is bad..

I live in ¨Venezuela¨

in this country, Toyota de Venezuela sells TLC´s FZJ-71 only is available equipped with the engine of petrol 6 cylinders in line 4.5L 24Valvle (1FZ-FE) engine only, with an a bit ancient altar frontal, that the one that they arrange in your country,

In this country, ¨MACHITO¨ is known popularly by the name of ¨TOYOTA Land Cruiser FZJ- 71 ¨

This vehicle in this country, is very wanted by the public in general, arranges of exelent quality, but with the equipment that offers it is something costly, for being very basic acessories

I would like to know in your country it will be equal..?

A greeting from VENEZUELA :)

Hi my friend "supercheox", the 2006 ¨MACHITO¨ in our country looks the same as the one you have in your country, only in 2007 it changed only in the front end, every thing is the same including the Engine, we still have the 4500EFI petrol engine and the 4200 Diesel engine.

In my country we call it "BOSHANAB", it means in english "the one with the Mostash" for the long Chrome BUMBER it looks like MENs MOSTASH or in other word (THE MAN).

The "MACHITO" is about 50,000,000,00 Venezuela Bolivares (VEB) and the price go up with more equipments and options.

How much it is in your country, and what does the "MACHITO" means in your language, i really would like to know?

I always loved your country from the pictures I see, I think it is a very nice country.

Bye Bye and have a nice day:)

Great topic and pictures,

Thanks a lot and thank god that i own a 2006 1FZ-FE MACHITO ;) (FZJ71) and this time i would never think to sell it, because before i own a 2002 FZJ74 and i sold it to get a 2006 Ford Mustang but actually 4WD RULES

anyway thanks again :D

The word is that the Canadian mine trucks are coming with the new front end c/w a different frame design. The rails are wider at the front, presumably to suit the 1VD V8 diesel. So far the only engine option is the 1HZ even though the mines are asking for the 1HDfte to reduce emissions. As I understand it the V8 will be lower emissions yet. I'm excited about the possibility of a turbo diesel mine truck but am a bit concerned about the wider frame. Hopefully turning radius with lager tires won't suffer.

The chassis is 50mm wider and the track 80mm wider in the V8, than the 79 series. Diffs look the same, although the V8 may be a bit bigger. Turning circle appears to be the same as the old 79 series trucks. V8s feel more stable on and off the road, courtesy of either bigger anti sway bars or the additional width.

Does that help??
