Nice rig Wildsmith. I'm curious about your snorkel. What manufacturer is that. Do you have the 2UZ under the hood?
Thanks. The snorkel is a TJM which I don't think is available in the USA any more? Mine came from a UK eBay seller that still appears to have some for sale though and yes I have the 2UZ :D

BBPass was not open until a week later. We drove it from the bottom up until it was closed. I don't know if I'll do BBP again after my first experience.

After all my trips up there I have never done UPPER Yankee BB and/or Governor Basin until now. Those are must-do's in my opinion. Instead of doing YBB then Imogen then Ophir, I will from now on do:

YBB (incl upper)
Governor Basin (to the end)
Imogene
And return to Ouray via Lost Dollar Road (sweet scenery!) and Ridgeway

HAVE FUN UP THERE. If ANY way possible get with another truck and do Pooughkeepsie Gulch. There's nothing better!

I went there this past summer in FJ for two weeks...did all the runs between Ouray, Telluride, Ophir........Immogene and Ophir Pass were my favorites even over Black Bear...though all were great. Want to go back in my hundy in comfort...:D:steer:

Home made rack with Hella FF 75 driving lights. Started putting them on just before this trip but ran out of time to wire them up so can't say about output yet.

Weather was pretty crappy so I didnt take many pictures(didnt want to get hit by lightning) but headed up into the mountains out of Jackson WY for a little while. Started to hail on us which really added some excitement.

Not sure if you were doing this, but I've heard that ATRAC works the best when you keep your gas at 2k RPM's or so and keep it STEADY at this RPM.

Check out this thread:

Understanding & Using ATRAC II+ - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum

after running A-Trac in my FJC for two years.....I can confirm that if you give it steady throttle to keep engine revs up the ATRAC works very well...you dont want to get off and on of throttle and use it like a conventional 4wd. Steady throttle..work steering back and forth and just let it grind and click and do its thing....dont let off of throttle just keep it steady.

It was nice to get a run in with you. Have a safe trip!
