Spent Saturday wheeling in Moab. Hit Fins n Things and 7mile Rim. My three boys loved every minute camping and wheeling. The LX did amazing! I was really impressed.

Bought my LX about six month ago from a local golf-pro. I find a tee hidden daily. Had to quickly de-bling.

^^Nice work on the wheel switch. The PO must have been blind.

Installed Wagongears tailgate storage. Everything that was in the tool box fits in the tailgate with some room left over.
Very cool! Does removing the cross-members inside the tailgate make it less suitable for supporting weight? I also wonder about stuff shifting and vibrating back there. If you can check back in with some usage experience I'd appreciate it.

Just checked out the website, looks like the claim is that is actually increases the overall rigidity and strength of the tailgate - if true, that's super cool!

"Tailgate lids make use of the otherwise inaccessible storage space in the body cavity of the tailgate while also reinforcing the structure to make the gate stronger.

By cutting a large hole in the inner face of the tailgate you can bolt these lids to the factory mount points, reinforce the gate, and get more storage."

Sounds like a high price for a small amount of storage. Should be cautious regarding heavy items as they may cause dents from the inside. Will stay with interior storage on mine. It's a nice looking design but won't take the chance.

I used thicker/padded sound proof matting. When I loaded everything from the tool box, I made sure the metal items were not touching each other to avoid rattles. So far on the pavement for my commute I have not heard any items rattling around. I did consider leaving the cross members in, but when I had the lid in my hands and felt how sturdy it is I didn't feel bad about removing them. As long as all your items fit between the cross members you could easily leave them in. Speaking of the cross members, they were the most painful part. Once I cut them out, there were rough edges left over, even after smoothing them, the remaining portions of them are a little in the way. If they are problematic, I will go back and remove every little piece of them. I asked the local line x guy about coating the inside but he was hesitant. I still may ask him to try if it looks like the items are stressing the outer portion of the tail gate. I understand the cost for gaining a small amount of space. It is in my nature to have the prefect spot for my things though. The items in the tool box I carry every day. With the third row seat installed for my kids the tools would take up a lot of the remaining space. I also have had the need to lock up high value items many times and this solves that issue as well. I have done my suspension, sound system, wheels/rims, and other little things. The remaining mods I want are thousand dollar plus (winch, bumpers etc..) that I have not decided exactly what I want, so this is what was next on the list. If I have any problems/concerns I will post them.

Those darn Volvo's think they can just do anything...

I've had it about 2 weeks, took running boards off, put a cheap rack up top, and dropped a penny or two on some KO2's and put a little mud on it for maybe it's first time. Gotta find a replacement for these chrome wheels.

Great pic @ufg8r took this weekend on our trail ride through Talladega National Forest

Wife was unloading the Cruiser after a trip back from the beach. She said there was a weird sound coming from under the hood. Two days later I think I diagnosed it, however the sound had migrated to the back hatch.

Rascals had to be forced out- they'd grown attached to the comforts of traveling on the cruiser.

Finally got the Lx out to camping at the lake, after dealing with ants all weekend I'm really looking into a rooftop setup
