Sorry, it did not go to my post which was the latest in the thread. It keeps scrolling somewhere to the middle of the page, and I seem to remember a similar issue when another change was made some time back.

mmm...only suggestion is to clear your cache...pretty much first-fix and standard procedure for "any" oddity
I'm having the same problem - not jumping to the first unread post. I tried clearing the cache last night and just checked a thread I had read after clearing the cache. I ended up in the middle of a post I'd already read.

Still having the same issue. Firefox settings clear the cache each time it's restarted, so a restart is what I did yesterday. Since then, I'm taken to the middle of the page, instead of the end or newest unread.

Well, of course it worked fine in Chrome when I tried it just now.
I'm having the same issue with unread posts, browsing on my iPhone. It goes back several posts or so. I tried clearing the cache with no change.

Just yesterday and today, I noticed this too. It goes to a few earlier posts and not the most recent.
Haven't found any answers or solutions yet.
I've noted no issues with Chrome on my Android or my Macbook Air tho...seems like it might be browser specific (no surprise)

I use Chrome predominantly on Windows 7 or iPhone. I just tried again with Firefox on Windows 7and got same results.
Wish I had an answer...chasing down an issue I can repeat is nearly impossible. I clicked my Alerts to your reply, and your response was where it took me...as it should.

Understood, and probably not on the highest order of site issues you have to deal with.
Ideally, I fix all the issues and oddities...I'm guessing this one will "magically" fix itself with the next minor update.

In the last 1-2 days, I am not seeing the Jump Arrow now. Chrome Version 48.0.2564.82 (64-bit). Is it gone since the header floats?
Chasing down the issue with the "unread post position" that a few are reporting...jump arrow removed to see if that was the culprit. Floating navbar may disappear next if that doesn't solve the issue.
Guess I'm waiting for "hey, my unread post position is working fine" replies....since I can't duplicate the issue and am flying blind.

unread post position just worked properly for me

Keep me posted if it still happens. Hopefully, pulling the jump javascript was the magic fix.

It works 70% of the time for me. It's a slight annoyance, but not that big a deal to me. I rather have the navbar and jump arrow and deal with the latest post issue.
One thing I have noticed regarding the latest post- most of the time when it fails, it takes me to a post with a picture. Anyone else seeing this? Not always, but I wonder if the image is causing the problem.
