Mounted four tires today with pep boys help.

They measure 35 and a tiny bit by 10 3/4 at the bulge. The tread block is 8 3/4.

They should be easy to clearance with that narrow tread block and I hope to get them test fit tonight.

Two took 2 oz and two took 10oz.

I’m going to break the bead on the heavy ones and put in balance beads. Tire shop said they were stiff and that made it hard to balance due to hard spots. That this would go away in a few weeks of use. I think beads is easier than multiple trips to the tire store.

No Spare to match? Excited to see the new look.

The fifth rim is on the car at the moment. After these four are on, I’ll have to run the fifth tire and rim down for mounting. Then it goes on the tire carrier.

I got one on.
This is with a 1” spacer.
Pic in neutral mode.

There will be trimming!

Sorry about the light obviously can’t move the rig at the moment

All four on now.

I removed one front wheel rear flap and left one on. It is just barely into the flap I left on. Clears the removed side. I have miles of room to the body mount, at least an inch.

I am into the front wheel liner at about 3/4 turn. It will need to be pushed forward, but not a lot.

There is a half inch or so to the rear wheel rear mud flap. Due to the way these are secured with my rlc bumper I will need to revisit the attachment points but I think this pretty straightforward.

Anticipated trim level is similar to those on 35x12.50s which usually measure in around 34.5.

Now to see what is will actually be. I have to pull all the wheels to get the remaining flaps off, not enough space for my torx socket.

Odd question but do the tires have black lettering on the other side/can they be mounted that way?

Here's some thoughts as to how to clearance the wheel wells:

Hah. The Kenda and Lexus badging clash a bit?

Okay. "Clearancing" is completed.
Tools required: torx bit for mudflaps, kitchen scissors, locking pliers (vise grips), heat gun, cable ties.

Removals:
Rear wheel Well - rear mud flaps
Front Wheel well - Rear mud flaps
Front Wheel Well - Side step bracket (lower screw). See updated post in thread below.

Trimming:
I cut off a vertical reinforcing part I left from the side step delete for the front wheel well rear mud flaps.

Heat gun:
A four inch diameter circle on the rear of the front wheel well, just above the mud flap area. Estimate 90 seconds per side. I did pull the tires to do this to make it easier.

Adjusting:
Push the front wheel well liner forward and reattach with existing z-clips. Required drilling two holes per side in the liner for the screws to pass thru, and cutting a slit (one per side) to move the z-clip into position. To make this easier I took one bolt out of the bumper cover so allow me to cut the slit (bolt reinserted of course when done).

I now have 1/2 or more in all wheel positions on the front liner (medium position). There is a cool one inch to the body mount at full lock.

This is a  job.

The tires are a tad underinflated and it is 17" to the center of the hub. 34 3/4 measured height (at 30 psi) installed.

Body mount clearance (medium height setting)

Z clip reposition location #1 (outside of front wheel well front).
take out the screw. Push it back 3/4". Drill a new screw location in the liner. Reposition the z clip and reattach.

Z clip reposition location #2 (Interior of front wheel well)
Take out two screws. Remove z clip. Undo bumper cover bolt to get positioning and access. Push forward a couple inches. Cut slit for z clip. Drill hole in liner. Secure with one screw.
I haven't tried to refit the valence that goes here, but it will just screw back on. It's a LX specific part anyhow.
This location is often repositioned all the way to the white screw insert. I didn't need that much clearance (yet?). It would require a small amount of heat to get there I think, but no big deal.

Had it out yet? How are the tires with the 4.88s?

I'm itching to go but the third kid got the flu last night and was up for four hours, so :princess: is taking a nap.

I can say that 4.88s are amazing and everyone, regardless of tire size, should get them.

it's a 6000 lb go-kart.

I have one rub on the driver side, rear of wheel well, front corner of fender. It rubs when 1/4 turn left and on brake. Sadly behind these pieces is a metal support. I think a bit of hammer won't hurt it too much . . .

This part on review is completely cosmetic, and really for the side steps, which were removed long ago.
So it got chopped. I drilled a hole in the bracket behind (sadly it isn't a vertical bracket, so I couldn't easily screw it) and put a cable tie in to make sure the side step plastic stays back. A black cable tie will be invisible here.

Additional heating to the liner in the area previously identified.

Passenger will likely require the same treatment. It has about 1/4" more, but I bet as soon as I'm on the brake it'll get involved.

I never thought about it. Is there a prestige tire?

I just like white letter.

Rub confirmed same location passenger side. Will deploy similar bracket removal fix.
