I'm resigned to the fact it's gonna be Bama and Oregon. Although, I suppose I'd like to see either Oregon or Bama beat up on ND.

I was hoping to see Carolina get the tar beat out of them by Bama

I'm not really worried about him...I knew his momma would talk him out of Clemson. I haven't seen the news clip of it yet, but if he goes to ole miss with his brother all he's gonna do is build up his own stats. But ya never know till signing day, I figured he was wishy washy anyhow if he wasn't willing to commit on paper.

south carolina needs a few top recruits!!!

would be nice to crack the top ten in recruiting

can we make them players in the OL, DL and LB positions?

Clowney obviously has LB speed/size...whey is he a DE going against 300lbs OL????

Granted he's good at it...but i'd like to use his size/speed in a little different way.

Guess you dont know this stuff works. They can't put it on paper until national signing day.

I think Clemson would do themselves well by cutting the guy loose. One prima donna does not make a team. Might be worse for morale keeping him on board. Understandably, it would be hard to cut the #1 recruit, though.

How was that for timing?

That's the right way to play it, imo.

Man that spin machine in tatertown is crazy.
Reminds me of ol Kevin Steele not being fired but not quitting.
Or, how about pulling Clowney's offer when it became clear he was going to be a Gamecock.
Question: What about those 4 or 5 scollies offered to this kids's buddies.
Mutual withdrawal on the horizon there?

The VT FLST game last night was a good one. I thought VT was going to beat them. Oh well.

It is good to see three ACC teams in the top ten. And yes I consider ND ACC. Might as well be. Not bad for a s***ty conference.

It's also good to see the Dogs doing so well. Football is finally coming around. We just need clemson to get another NC and all will be well in the world in SC. I can see them chomping at the bit.

The decommit was mutual to take the pressure off the kid, now he is "just a normal recruit". If his bitch mom would stay in Nigeria and shut her damn mouth he'd still come here. Even with her talking we are still considered the front runner just because he wants to play with his buddies not with his brother.

Chuck you can't put it on paper until national signing day, there is no early signing period in college football. He could enroll in January if he was eligible for early graduation but haven't heard where he is.

Definitely not going to pull offers from the other guys David, they are both 4 star prospects and positions of need this class.

Gamecocks...two meaningless non conference easy win games against highschool football teams to end this season...

lets hope for a good bowl game...it's the only chance we have at getting to play another real football team before next season.

Fixed your mistake.

Funny how the 2nd school of South Carolina schedules Wofford the week before. If you guys need 2 weeks to gameplan thats fine just schedule a bye dont pretend to play football. We all know USuC is already watching film on Clemson trying to figure out some way to slow down the best offense they will see all year.

I think the real issue is how that Clemson O line is going to slow down S.Carolinas front 4

I hope Mr. Boyd still has plenty of grass stain remover from where Clowney and company kept him running for his life all game last year...i thought those jerseys looked better a green tint to them anyway!!!

And Clempson has a whole season, minus FSU, to prepare for the final regular season
matchup.
:hillbilly:
BTW: another de-commit from the Grayson 5 or 6 or whatever. Was the latest a mutual thing too?
:grinpimp:
Oh and...Wofford ain't an easy team to play. Their option attack has traditionally given both USC and CU fits.
Hardly a scheme to prepare for the juggernaut that is the mighty O that is Clemson.

Clemson has to stay focused every week because they are getting everyones best shot, we are most teams bowl game. USuC sees most teams bottom effort because you are still viewed as the bottom of the SEC and a couple years of success haven't changed that.

Trust me ain't no body playing Carolina and thinking they are an easy win. Nobody. If anything Clemson is the one that probably has the biggest head thinking they can beat anyone. At least their fans do.

And ACC is the bottom of the barrel. We all know SEC is the cream of the crop. Your wins this year really mean nothing. You guys picked an easy schedule.

south carolina is no longer a team that anyone in the SEC take lightly

Times started to change when ESPN gameday was there to watch S.Carolina beat a #1 ranked Alabama

South Carolinas season has been just one or two big plays from being in the NC talk...

South Carolina plays a scheduel year in and year out that can get them into NC contention....and even with that difficult scheudel...and back to back seasons with our work horse taking a serious injury we are on a cake walk to a 2nd straight 10 win season.

When the nation tooks at our state in terms of football...South Carolina is the cream of the crop... i know it's difficult to accept for cu fans.

With Tanner as the AD i look for S. Car to become even more competitive in all 3 major sports.

I said it 2 years ago...the tides have turned in the Palmetto state....S.Carolina is a nationally recognized football program.

Clemson has become an afterthought.

The fault isn't really that of Clemson so much as it is of the ACC.

Ask any georiga fan if they still think of S.Carolina as an easy game each year...ask a Florida fan...ask a volenteer...I don't think you'll find one who actually looks forward to meeting the gamecocks each year anymore...especially when they have to travel to Cola.

Wofford may have a good tripple option...but so did Navy last year.

But when you can't keep the D out of your backfield...that option game loses some of it's effectiveness.
