i wouldn't suggest that Ellington is better than the backs we saw at Georgia or the stable full of backs at LSU

But your right...clemson is our only tough game left this season...if the Caronlina that played UGA shows Clemson doesn't have a chance. The won't put more than 9 pts on the board.

You don't have to suggest anything I am saying it outright, he's far and away the most complete back in the ACC and could play for any SEC team, which is why he was recruited by pretty much all of them including USuC. When he isn't hurt, which unfortunately he has been too often, Ellington is a great RB. Heres some RB draft projections: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/2013/RB

Now that right there is funny I don't care who you are.
:grinpimp:
Stats racked up in the ACC are a JOKE. Calling someone the most complete ANYTHING
in that sorry conference is down right funny.
I noticed that Clemson only plays one team ranked in the top 50 this year,
FSU, and lost that one.
Like I said CU will not lose another game till late November when they finally play another team inside the top 50.
Spanking that 11-1 butt is gonna be SWEET.
BE is a good back for what CU does with him. I'd love to have him on USC's team
for some added depth at RB.
The boy will get drafted by the NFL for sure.

Ok David, since only stats against the SEC matter here you go. In 6 games vs SEC teams Ellington has 60 carries for 513 yards thats 8.55 yards per carry. If you remove the 6 carries for 33 yards he had in 2009 as a true freshman it jumps to 8.88 yards per carry, he does his best work against SEC teams. Tack in the bowl game against WVU which is the only non-SEC team that he has played against that you might respect and it jumps to 70 carries for 629 yards or 8.9 yards per carry. He also has about 15 receptions for another 150+/- yards in there. It doesn't matter what Conference he is in Ellington is a great RB.

What rankings are you using for the top 50? Duke and NC State are in the top 50 currently, we have them both upcoming, VT was in the top 50 when we whipped their ass last week they have since dropped to around 52-55 in all the rankings I have seen.

Whoa Whoa Whoa what is that you say Richard...... Ellington is averaging near 9 yards against the super human SEC, inconcievable, impossible!!! He doesn't have SEC speed he can't do that

Don't try to bring facts into an arguement with an USuC fan they are by nature delusional it is pointless. It is enjoyable now watching them have another season spiral down the drain and they revert back to hiding behind their SEC SEC chants

Ellington is a heck of a back. I don't see how anyone would argue against that.

His cousin Bruce is pretty good, too. I know you wont hear a Clemson fan say otherwise. He's not a bad point guard, either.

I bet whatever you are brave enough to wager he will not get 9 yards a pop against USC
this year.
Look he's a good back, I said so. You guys crack me up.
Stats are for losers.
Good grief...bringing up Orange Bowl stats......NOW THAT right there is freaking hilarious
coming from a Clemson fan.
Want to bet whether or not he's a 1st round pick?
Love taking that CU cash.

LOL...citing DUKE as a source to raise your SOS.....keep 'em coming...I'm in stitches.

I don't think he will get 9yds a pop against USuC that would be a phenominal day, probably just like 5yds. 15-20 carries for 100yds would be a fair prediction.

I wouldn't bet on him being a first round pick or not, way to many variables in that bet. He will be off the board by the end of the 2nd round thats about as far on that limb as I'd go.

If Ellington gets 20+ carries, it will have been a bad day for us. If he ends up with 20+ carries, I'd say he has 150+ yards. If Morris has patience, and sticks with the run, Clemson will probably win. Over the last few years, Clemson has abandoned the run early, and that makes for bad days for Clemson.

He had 13 carries last year while injured, healthy he'd have gotten 20 with ease. We went away from the run because we got behind and had to.

That's what I'm saying. If he has 20+ carries, we'll be losing. If he has 20+ carries, he will be well over 100 yards.

I think Clemson can beat us if they establish the run game. Even if it's not working early, they should stick with it. Dabo and co are like twelve year olds with a new version of madden that just came out, though. Instead of being patient and doing what it takes to establish the run and then migrate to the play action pass, they'll start trying reverse flea flickers and statue of liberty plays that will get them in trouble. Maybe dabo's matured past that as a coach. I don't know.

With last nights phenomenal performance it's gonna be a tough game for USuC....Clemson now has two options, cram it up the middle with Ellington or throw 60 yard passes to Nuk and Watkins...not to mention the other options Tajh has if they get tied up....the defense is finally starting to gel and become one unit...I'm lookin forward to November

Don't read to much into last nights game Chuck, you have been around Tigertown long enough that you should know Wake Forest is absolute Garbage.

Yes - I'm worried about November - but not from anything I saw last night.

It was almost surreal watching a game and hearing individual fans' conversations going on in the background. Last night's game had all of the excitement of a five year old's soccer match. But, Clemson did what Clemson was supposed to do, and put them away early.

I figured you'd be worried...and Spureeyore better hope he plays a 5 yr old soccer match otherwise he's gonna get stomped into the ground....and yes I realize that wake is a garbage team but a lot of good teams have gotten beat by garbage teams because they get slack....we were able to have a complete game and a lot of kinks that had shown up in weeks past were not there last night...better to peak at the end of the season rather than the beginning

Congrats on beating Wake so soundly. That showed that Clemson deserves to be talked about as nationally relevant.

:snicker:

Clemson showed us last year when they peak.... Not sure end of the season is what I'd call it though? SC has a bit of the same problem but the best part of SC FB these days is watching spuryours dreams go down the toilet after the high expectations and big talk.... Man I hate that guy!

I hated him when he dominated us, too.

he's still the same obnoxious tool he was then... at least now we can watch him lose occasionally.

Sad to hear about Lattimore. Hope to see him play again one day.

Shame about lattimore, the way his leg was flopping around looked really bad. Could be career threatening just from looks. USuC was lucky to hold on and win that in the end.
