Pulled the trigger today.

Called Alcan and placed the order for a set of 3.5" springs. :bounce:

Shhhhh......... Don't tell the wife. They should before before the baby. Hopefully she won't go early.

awesome man cant wait to see that 45 lifted:cheers:
now lets hope your wife doesn't answer the door when the ups guy comes with that lift or we may be seeing it in the 4sale section :)

about time make sure you ask alcan to make the raer springs heavies so they don't sag

Hoping to avoid that by giving them the weights of the truck. I told them I would be carrying about 200+lbs of weight in the truck. I also put in a 39.5" swamper and a bed mat in it when I took it to the scale.

sweet yo uwill like them the ride in my lv is so much smoother than the fj62 with OME granted 2 different beasts but I do like the ride.

How long did they tell you it would take to make them up?

About a month ago I was under the 45 and put my hand in one of the holes in the frame to ensure that every things seem solid. There was about ¾” to 1” of mud in the frame. Well last night I spend about an hour and a half cleaning dirt out of the frame rails. There doesn’t appear to have been any adverse affects. The frame still seems very solid.

I am in the process of cleaning the frame up so I can paint it to keep the rust at bay.

The 40series has 3" holes along the inside of the frame rail. I fit a small screwdriver in there and broke up the dirt and pulled most of it out by hand. To get the rest I stuck the hose in there and let it run until the water ran clear (we have really good water pressure in Pawtucket).

I think there may still be some larger stones left in there that I will try to get.

In addition to the water I use a long piece of steel or copper tubing with air.....just make sure you've got eye protection. :D

Will do. Planning on drilling some holes to try to keep this from happening again.

I need to do the same. Quite a few big holes and every time I dig in there with a screwdriver I get a lot of earth.

How big are the holes, are you able to get your hand in there?

Good way to paint the inside of the rails is with a toilet brush... worked great when I POR'd my frame. I don't think I'd want to drill holes in the bottom... just going to give the dirt and moisture an easier path to get between the seam along the bottom.

You're probably right. Thanks for the tip about the toilet brush. I will have to try that.
