GMC will be in the South Royalton VT Christmas Parade again this year on Dec 14th. Wrap the rig in lights and come up if anyone would like to join!

Hi all! My name is Colin. I'm new here, just bought my 1997 FZJ80 in November. I live in Rhode Island and was told to reach out here. I'm getting ready to do some build-type things (lift, axle seals/bearings, you can see my recent posts for more details). The idea is to build an "overlanding" rig. Something that is off-road capable (I do like to do some more serious rock-crawling type stuff) but also something that can carry me comfortably on the highway. I am a guide for Northeast Adventure Company. We have some meetups around New England coming up during the "off-season" with many of the trails closed. I can share our meetup info here if that's ok, and any Land Cruiser folks can come join us for a beer (always at a brewery, but I don't actually drink). We had 2 80s at the last meetup, mine and someone who saw our flyer and decided to come. Let me know if that's not allowed, but other than that I'm here to get some good advice! I've read a lot of old threads already, and some info is outdated and references broken links or products that don't exist anymore. So excuse me if I ask a question that's been answered, I promise I'm doing my best to search for answers first.

Welcome! Not as much traffic here as a few years ago, but it is still a very active club off line. Our big yearly event is Columbus day, called Fall Gathering. If you like cruisers, you wont want to miss that one! Besides that, we try to participate in NEA4WD activities and work days and are planning a Jericho Hooky Day some time in the spring when they open.

Cool, does it all get posted here? Or do you have another social media outlet or newsletter that gets sent out?

We do post stuff here. Have you joined Yankee Toys yet? That is the best way to know what is going on as we send out Emails on runs and events. I will post up how to join, as I don't think the link is correct that is posted in another discussion.
