I think they're too far apart in ratio. Buy it if you want that gearing and hold onto it until you can make the front match.

That's what I was thinking. An my plan is to run 33-35's so 4.88 would be a better choice for me. Not DD 35's though, using them as my off road tires.
I agree, too far apart, your truck won't like it, you risk trashing your transfer case.

I ran Patch on 33-10.50 BFG A/T's pretty much all of the 125k that I put on the truck. 30 psi got me full width tread contact and aired down was 20 psi. I think that I only put 3 sets and one partial set (sidewall oddity) on the truck the whole time that I had it.
Never ever felt the need to go lower than 20psi and in later years I rarely aired down at all. Truck always went where I pointed it, but since it was my ride home I'd didn't point it at trails like the Rubicon or Dusy-Irshim. I did run Swamp Lakes with it. And it's been everywhere, repeatedly, in Calico except for the Gate Keeper in Doran Cyn (by-passed that).

I'd only run 35's to do snow runs, but those may be coming to an end with this weather. In other news I got an SR5 cluster with tach to help break in my new engine, found a good deal on a Marlin short throw so I bought it as well and ordered tons of stuff for the engine rebuild. I'll post pictures as the stuff comes in. I may also go with a zip over an ARB, we're only talking a $53 dollar difference though so I may just stick to the proven ARB.

Got the block, crank and other parts in on Wednesday! Only one problem so far and that was I was sent the wrong main and rod bearings. The blocks come painted a nice black, as well to match that I am painting the rest of the engine parts once my truck is back home. I will say that I was very very happy to see that the rod bushings (they probably have a correct name but I can't think of it right now) were already pressed in.

Man that block looks pretty, I can't wait to start assembling it which should happen Wednesday of next week. I am using the oil pan from my old 22r so that way I can use a cork gasket. I personally prefer them over FIPG.

Why do you suggest that KLF? Is it just because it'll be better for the engine on cold days?
Any time the temps are below freezing, I plug mine in on a timer so it runs a couple of hours before I leave in the morning. Really helps in starting, I can definitely tell the difference. Freeze plug block heater, I got mine from Summit.

Well I'll have to look at getting one. I am having some quality control issues though, was installing the crankshaft oil galley plugs and ended up striping one because the threads are all messed up I mean the plug is in there but I'm going to pull it out and run a tap in there and buy a new plug and install it. But if the crankshaft is shot I'm emailing them again as this wasn't what I was expecting at all.

Here's a couple of pictures. I think I'll email them before trying to tap it, see if they want to replace it. I do love LCE's customer service, I rated it 2nd best to deal with. First being Engnbldr.

When I pull it tomorrow I'll take some more pictures with a tape measure also saw that it blew a couple small holes in the oil pan as well. In other new LCE's customer service is awesome! They're sending me a tap and new plug to fix the threads and not only did they email me back they even called to double check it was being taken care of. They also have sent me new crankshaft bearings on their dime as well. An tomorrow my injectors will be shipping off to Witchhunter to get cleaned and soon I'll have a sandblaster to get everything nice and clean to be painted.
Jesus dude..... Still having bad luck???? I guess get it all out of the way early on! Lol

Got the new oil galley plug installed and was installing the last piston...when one of the rings broke. So new rings will be here Saturday, same type as the ones LCE sent me so I just have to put it on and can finish up installing everything else. I'm hoping to have it running by middle of next week. I've got all the parts needed to get it fully finished arriving Saturday, and I need to get pictures of the stuff I've painted.
