I need some help. It's been raining hard the last couple of days and now my check engine light is stuck on and codes won't clear.

What are the codes?

Any water inside the cab on the passenger floor? Maybe pop off the kickpanel on that side to check for water.

Well after it sat drying last night it's clearing codes but my o2 sensor went out. Also found my air filter to be soaking wet. But I did check that panel and it was dry back there thankfully

Changed O2 sensor and still have code 21? So I guess I have to pull the wiring and go through it all. Which is fine since the knock sensor wire just broke on my truck anyways

I need some input. When I'm cruising my code 21 for the o2 sensor goes away but on the throttle it comes back. Which is making me think it's the sensor. What do you guys think

It also goes away at higher speeds

Well a new issue arised. The truck runs like crap and has to be either barely open or all the way open for it to take off. Sounds like the tps but this is what gets me. After second gear it goes away until I shut the truck back off again.

I was going to check that. Had to go out of town. But its sitting in the garage drying out so I'm going to check tps and MAF. If the MAF is bad I'm going with the supra one

Got home. Took the truck for a spin and it works flawlessly. Which means water is getting in the wiring somewhere. Anyone have some thing they recommend for shielding wire from water?

Also does anyone have a spare 89 22re wiring harness? In willing to buy it for some plugs I need.

So I think I may have found my issue. A while back when I was working on my truck those two plugs on the front of the lower intake manifold were broke, so I put on some terminal connectors and it ran fine. My question is now do you guys think that they could be causing my truck to run badly until after 2nd gear because they're getting water inside of the plug since it's no longer shielded?

Anyone have any thoughts to do with a 22RE? I have the one from the 88 that's not in running shape and I'm thinking of keeping it or would you guys just sell it?

I don't see much of a reason to keep the head/block/internals if it is no good. Unless you plan to rebuild the engine at some point to put in a different rig, I would say sell it. Keep all of the external parts though.

I have had a liquidation mentality since my move - so keep that in mind.

I was told the head gasket was bad. But otherwise was running good before it went. But right now I have another issue. a huge oil leak from under my truck, only issue being I don't know from what, engine hasn't lost oil which makes me think it's the transmission. Which means tomorrow I'll have to smell the puddle. I hope its not as my spare transmission is a w56B, which means the transfer case is the wrong shift style.

Is your current TC a top shift? As I recall the 56"B" is a forward shift. This is not a problem. Just remove the shift bits from the transmission, make a block off cover, and bolt on your top shift TC.

Current is a forward, w56b is a top.

Really lost right now...had the huge oil spot user my truck, smelled it and it smells like regular oil. But my oil isn't low. Checked my anti freeze and it hasn't dropped either.
