I haven’t been on Mud lately but thought I’d update with some recent scores.
First is a Canadian 335. One of my favorite runners.

Second is a Sears single mantle

Third is an all black custom 200A and an unfired Coleman Centennial.

Few more

First is a Canadian E

Second is an Air-O-Lantern

Third is a single mantle Kamplite made by AGM. If you don’t have one of these they are absolute screamers. Bright as the sun and roar like a jet.

.....
First is a Coleman 243A

Second pic is 2 other Sears variants I recently scored with the earlier mentioned single mantle.

Third is a single mantle Ash Flash.

Fourth is a good user 502 I recently went through and cleaned up. I have a really clean one that I didn’t want to use so much. Found this one locally and cleaned it up, the decals were toast so I improvised a little.

I want a 243 so bad. Passed on a nice one at an antique store years ago for $50 and have regretted it ever since.

Same here, when I found this one I almost passed on it because of the price. Then I realized how stupid clean it was and had to go back and get it.

This thread has me inspired to dig out all my stoves and lamps and finally getting around to rebuilding some of them :D

Glad to see there are so many Coleman nuts out there like myself. :D

Went to help my brother-in-law with his LX the other day and noticed this box in the trash can. Said he had no use for a white gas stove and thought it was junk. I brought it home. The stove is an 8/71 build and needs a serious restoration.

Good rescue. Dust it off and call it restored.

It is rust free, which is amazing. But I cannot get any valve to turn, everything is frozen so it will need pulled apart.

424 Duel Fuel: Would anyone know if the felt ring between the master burner bowl and the manifold is necessary? I bought an old one from a friend and the aux burner didnt have one and the main burner felt ring fell apart as I disassembled to clean. It doesn't have a part number on its own and some parts pictures show it while others do not. The only thing I can figure is its there to keep fuel vapors from leaking out???

Monday I’m going to look at something that I don’t think has yet been posted to this thread...🤔

She’s profane and she’s got a hot temper, but she’s one of a kind!

Sears Model 476.74980 - similar to a Coleman 426C, I think generally from the 1960s:

Score!
I think a tank and generator from a 60’s and 70’s 413 or 426 would work on that stove, if’n you wanted a white gas option on top of propane. Great find!

My 426B one doesn’t fit :(

I think sears changed the dimensions :(

But I will try my 413G too. Need a 426C to “experiment” with...🤔

If it’s the same shape as the yellow one on the sears stove from the terry marsh site it should work.
426B is too old, different size tank and tabs.

Just checked, the 2/68 413G tank fits perfect!

She donned the 413G tank and went out drinking with some singles tonight. These two are trouble-the 502 likes to become a fireball and never settles down and the Peak1 Multi burns green and has some weird orange flaking on the preheat tube. If anyone can help with these two troublemakers that would be great.

Green flame usually means copper. Something might be happening to the brass generator so the Peak 1 might need a Genny before it burns thru.

502 might just need gone through. Dirty tank or gummy pickup tube in the tank.

I need some help. I just bought a 1946 242c lantern at a thrift store. The air tubes(not the fuel/air tube) are sealed on the bottom. I’m thinking that these should be open, but I thought I’d better ask before I drilled them out.
