Spent way too much time installing and fiddling with the shifter and shift rod. It seems to go thru the gears okay, but the rod looks kind of bindy. I am still missing a few items for the kickdown cable roo.

Happy Mothers Day

Working on cleaning up more of the interior. It was extremely dusty and dirty. The previous owner put some plastic tar lined stuff to cover the floor. It gonna stay as it's stuck good. I wire brushed all the surfaces then wiped them down. Much better now.

There's a few areas that will be painted body color instead of black, the main interior color. I need to get this going, so I can start reinstalling some items.

Making some progress just not that exciting of things. Got the transmission vacuum line for the modulator installed and the kickdown cable. Gas pedal is in with a new firewall grommet.

Trust me and put a wire tie on that vaccum line for the modulator 😉 will save future diagnostic head aches 🤔🧐. Use a new rubber line also 😉

Of course I used new rubber on the ends of the hard line. :grinpimp:

I got the portioning valve mounted and the rear line attached. Shouldn't be hard to access for adjustment. I still.need to make the lines that go from the master to the junction and prop valve.

Also got the column mount parts painted.

Huge victory today. Got the lines all finished at the master cylinder. Made some strain relief loops and connected the dots.
Now onto the hard lines that connects to the soft lines for the front calipers.

Ordered up a ton of parts for the efi and fuel system. Went with a new tank and an in tank pump with return built in......no need for a return line. I can reuse the factory hard line after I clean it up.

So, I started to clean up the trunk area. I will need to replace this tail panel with the new one before the tank goes in. I guess that means body work will start soon.

I got some repop trans cooler lines but this bigger radiator has no provisions for a cooler. The plan is to run short flexible hose off the hard line to this transmission cooler.

So, I cleaned it up and gave it some paint.

Got the factory fuel line sort of back in place.....soaking the mounting hardware now. Motor is at TDC with the distributor installed. Intake manifold is bolted and torqued to spec. Got the front factory wiring harness cleaned, inspected, retapped and laid in place. Also got the new pump send assembly in the tank.

After much research, it was determined that this style efi benefits from a spacer and a milled down center divider in the intake manifold. So, this is what I came up with......still need to plug the egr port at the carb base area. Efi unit sits up top all proud.
And a fuel line pic.....

Prepared the trunk area where the gas tank bolts down. Wire wheeled, primed, bottom sprayed with undercoating, the trunk side painted with trunk splatter paint. Ready to bolt in the tank once dry.

Found a thermostat housing that will work better for the upper hose. Problem is the little rubber elbow hose now needs to be a different size on 1 end......it's always something.
