Just about done with the metal work, little more cutting and hammering and I start filling and painting.

Did @J Mack just admit he was part of the Green Party?

Breaking in the Birkenstocks now, I should be full greenie in about a week.

Finally got all the shock parts and started on rebuilding them, first step was to dissemble them and Cerakote all the parts black to try to tone down the race car look.

Everything is back together and my ride height is now two inches too high with all the weight I removed and getting the car back level might require different springs.

One of the local off road clubs is having their turkey run fund raiser tomorrow so I threw this pig back together to go out and have some fun before the snow starts to fly.

Ran out to the desert to make a quick pass to see how the shocks work, everything seems ok so I made the doors and wired the tail light.

Go easy on it. Just because it is a Pig now doesn't mean it's invincible.

Had a great time at the High Desert Off-Road Club turkey run, I managed to bring it home with all the body panels intact and no major issues considering the mad dash to jam it back together to make the run.

Just leaving the staging area with my friend and his red Jeep.

Poser shot flexed out on a rock.

I used reprocessed black - UHMW Sheet to skin the sides, we did a trail called “metal masher” that always mashed my aluminum sides and I would have to pound out the dents every time we ran it before. The UHMW just flexed out of the way and bounced back and still looks great. But I’m going to need to rethink my bolt spacing and total length of a single piece after seeing how bad these sides warp in the sun.

I don’t believe it got over 50° all day but if you look at the backside poser shot you can kind of tell how bad these sides warped when the sun hit them.

How thick did you use? But yeah either some structure behind or thicker sheet I guess.

I used 3/16” and probably should have used 3/8”, my bolt spacing is right around 24” now and it warps between to bolts pretty bad. Current plan is to add more tabs to get around 8” bolt spacing and see how that looks. If all else fails I’ll go back to aluminum and try harder to keep it off the rocks.

Tearing it back apart in the next couple days to rebuild the front shocks and finish the body panels.

Great vision Jim

Thanks Gordobe:beer:
Getting closer to my ultimate vision working within the boundaries of the car I started with and pig parts I had laying around from my first project.

Everything is ripped back apart and front shock rebuilding is underway, still coming up with a plan for flexy plastic side panels and finishing up final sanding on all the primed parts before KOH in February.
