Hi everyone, excited to be part of such a vibrant community. My name is Nate, and I live in Tooele, Utah. I grew up in AZ, where my older brothers and I all spent time driving a '73 FJ40, with each of us making our own modifications. My first task when I was 16 was pulling out the original F engine and swapping it out with a 2F we picked up from Specter Off Road. I had more fun in that machine than a teenager should be allowed to have, and it was only after moving off to Idaho for college did I regretfully give up the keys.
What brings me back is I just purchased a 1968 and am thrilled to be diving back in to the experience. It definitely is in need of some TLC, and my kids were a little surprised at how many spiders can live inside a glove compartment. I'm trying to re-mount the passenger front seat and a roll bar this afternoon, then I will feel a little better driving the kids around. Looking forward to learning from each of you and getting this machine back to its prime!
