Hi everyone, excited to be part of such a vibrant community. My name is Nate, and I live in Tooele, Utah. I grew up in AZ, where my older brothers and I all spent time driving a '73 FJ40, with each of us making our own modifications. My first task when I was 16 was pulling out the original F engine and swapping it out with a 2F we picked up from Specter Off Road. I had more fun in that machine than a teenager should be allowed to have, and it was only after moving off to Idaho for college did I regretfully give up the keys.

What brings me back is I just purchased a 1968 and am thrilled to be diving back in to the experience. It definitely is in need of some TLC, and my kids were a little surprised at how many spiders can live inside a glove compartment. I'm trying to re-mount the passenger front seat and a roll bar this afternoon, then I will feel a little better driving the kids around. Looking forward to learning from each of you and getting this machine back to its prime!

You work at Kennecott? Been there many times.

Welcome to Mud in any event, and have fun with your build.

1968, best year for Land Cruiser, mine’s a 68….that’s why it’s a great year….

So what’s the history?….how many POs?….what were some of the aftermarket gimmicks the POs bolted on?

History is important, tells the story….and now you’re part of this Cruiser’s story.

And your first duty is the bezel….🤣🤣🤣😎🤣

Welcome!

Welcome from Utah. Decades ago a few of us formed Wasatch Cruisers, part of the TLCA. Look them up and go on a few trail runs with them. Good group of people. Life has been too busy for me but at some point I'll get back in to the club.
