As much as I want to make this trip my relationship with my wife is more important. We needed a vacation this year and a salesrep volunteered his beach house in the Outer Banks. Unfortunatly the only the only week he had available was the week of GSMTR. And to top it off my buddy is getting married the weekend before in Atlanta and I'm in it so no hanging out with the Capt and the FL boys.

Looks like Alan will be High Chief that week.

We will work on details and giveout for the event.

Nope Todd - that about nails it, no pun intended (see Jim's post on his orientation). I have several minutes of video where it took a certain member that long to make one shot off the artificial leg.

Yeah - I'll assume Mike is in - he'll be stoked to finally get in that cabin legitimately.

It's mostly an event where a bunch of guys with Land Cruisers and Toyota trucks get together and play pool with peoples artificial limbs and then pass out in hot tubs. Well worth it if you're into the trucks too. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Oh boy - I am part native american indian - given Alan's description looks like I'm first in line to be "High Chief."

Yeah, that's the house we almost had. I think we spent a few nice hours there in the dark last GSMTR...before the owners realized they had already rented it. What a long night that turned into...topped off with Mike realizing the spare tires for his trailer were the wrong bolt pattern! The first of many 2006 GSMTR stories. Anyway, I'll committ to the full week. David, if I did the math right, that works out to $46.78 for me and that puts me in the loft with both king beds. Right? I'm doing my best to get the financials together to get my truck up there this year. I'll reserve and pay either way though. I also have a 5.5kw generator (with an 8.5kw peak) down here if we think we really need it. I think the FL guys could probably light up Tellico Plains if we had to with our generators. Mike M is in the islands with the boats. I put a call in to let me or his wife (make what you want out of that Bill) know about the cabin. I'm sure I'll hear from one of them in the next few days. I would pencil him in for the cabin since everyone else will be staying there.

Mike M called me back today and said he's in for the week. He wants a room if possible. He basically just wants a bed from what it sounded like. I put a call into Wonderleg Chad to see what he was planning on doing. I'll keep you posted.

Not because I dont want to crash there but that, My girl is coming again, along with my brother and his rig and a good friend Jer with his rig. So Im guessing thats too many people to crash the party...

Ordered the bender today my friend...I think she is blowing her gas money on a plan ticket to HI for 2 weeks to visit her friend. Look for an up and coming cage on it soon...

Mayberry is a Hoot

I 'm sorry I've let this thread slow down.
I just got back from two days in Mayberry N.C.
What a hoot! I took pics of the Courthouse
and Willey's Garage. Ate at Goober's dinner.
Bought some candy from Opie's candy shop.
It was a fun business trip.
Only bummer was Floyd's barbershop was
closed on Thursday and I didn't get my much
anticipated haircut.
