I spent quite a bit of time looking for the different seat swaps that had been posted here on the forum when I created the "COMPILED - Seat Swap" thread. I even dug some up from other places. I really doubt you'll find much in addition to what's already in that thread unless individuals that have never shared decide to.
The creation of a new thread is unlikely to get any more responses than responding to an existing thread that already has subscribed followers that are "interested" in the topic already and can offer greater insight. Many on the forum have it set to show "new posts" when they login so whether it's a new thread or just a reply to an existing one makes very little difference as to the exposure it will receive (at least from what I've experienced). Like has been mentioned, additional threads can dilute the topic when others search and just create more threads that people need to wade through looking for information. Not criticizing you, just trying to provide some assistance.
You can do what you want and this thread is here now unless you delete it. But it probably won't hurt to post in the Compiled thread and see what response you get. However, like I said earlier, most of the people that have done swaps are already in that thread.
