*UPDATED 6/15*

Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Place: World Tour Off Road
1934 Lincoln Drive Unit J
Annapolis, Maryland 21401

We are good to go. The date that we came up with is Saturday, June 21st. We will have at least 1 lift available to us, possibly more. There will be plenty of room outside for people to work on their rigs if they don't need a lift, and if you don't need a lift, please don't use one. There will be a hard stop at 4 p.m. when Paul will break out his Skottle to cook up whatever food we provide. I suggest that the club allocate some money for burgers, dogs, etc. Beer sounds like a good idea too.

* It would be good to get a head count for food purposes as well as to give Paul & Ginger an idea of what to expect, so please post up if you plan on attending.

* Please bring your own tools. Shop tools will not be available.

* Paul and Ginger have informed me that they are are going to do a tech session on how to repair a punctured tire while on the trail. They will have some ARB tire repair kits available for purchase.

* If anyone needs to do some fluid changes, World Tour Off Road carries the full line of Amsoil products. Hard to beat Amsoil.

Many thanks, but doing that right now trying to get ready for Relic Run. Water pump, thermostat, hoses, crank seal, timing cover seal. Have the front of the engine torn apart right now. But hey, if you want to hang out...

Anyhoo, what we really need are some dates that I can go to Paul & Ginger with. At least in my calendar, my only free weekends are 5/3, 6/7 (though we were talking a club cookout for that weekend), and then most weekends from 6/21 onwards.

That said, I certainly don't have to be there. Whatever works for the most people.

I can't chime in on dates as my schedule changes constantly, but I'd love to hang out right in my backyard to help with projects!

I'm so used to laying on my back now, I wouldn't know what to do with lift access again....

That might be a good tutorial. I'm assuming they are frozen?
not frozen but not engaging 100% either. I need it to work better, especially considering it's a manual.

Thanks Bart for coordinating! I should be there, possibly late or in and out depending on work schedules, but happy to hang and help as I can (no personal projects)...and help eat & drink too!

Just so I understand better, is this just use of shop space and 1 (or more possibly) lifts? How about tools...BYOT or will some be available? How about things like tire mounting/balancing (they did my 315's)? Will there be any tech assistance from Paul or others if needed? I know that it's a working shop and not sure how they handle tools and the like as many pros understandably would be very leery lend to strangers.

Thanks for the clarifications...just use of a shop space with lift is amazing enough!

I would BYOT I would not rely on there tools.

Most of the time the tools belong to the mechanic not the shop. If you don’t have the correct tool for a job you may be able to use one of there’s.

Pretty much what I expected...that said, I'm less than 10 minutes away from WTOR, so I can bring tools upon request or fetch from home as needed!

Just putting this out there....if Paul prefers to have us out of there at the end of the day, I'm only 5 minutes down the road and would be happy to host the cookout!

A very kind offer. I'll ask and find out, but I had proposed going to a park for a cookout after the tech day and Paul was the one who suggested we keep it at his shop. We'll see though. Going to the caterer's house sounds like a solid plan.

Sounds good...I'm fine either way, but wanted to put that out there in case Paul wants us gone!
