Here's where that cover goes. Thanks HJ. I thought the other small piece was shown in your diagram, but this other piece doesn't seem to go up front anywhere. I'm feeling quite stupid for not taking pics of this stuff on disassembly,,, again.

The second one goes on the firewall behind the exhaust downpipe. It may be irrelevant on yours now that you have the turbo: mine was.

Other than doing some restoration work on the A/C blower and heater unit, I don't think I want to do any more on the wiring until I get the dash and floors coated. Then I can mount the instrument cluster as I run the corresponding wires. I'm probably going with a sprayed on bed liner material for the back floor and front floor boards. Then paint on the dash and interior sides. This may not happen for 2 months or so. I'm hoping to get it completely painted by October. At least that's the goal. In the mean time I'm trying to organize the garage and all the remaining parts.

Here's the A/C and Heater unit. They look like they're 30 years old. I'm going to clean up the outside and give them a new coat of color. I'll take apart what I can if it seems like it'll make a difference in how they work.
I bolted on the bumperettes simply to see some progress.

Heater box teardown. I need some replacement foam for the sealed areas, but other than that it should be easy.

Here's a few parts from the heater box that had 32 year old foam on them. I spent way too much time cleaning off the old foam, knowing I'm going to glue new foam right back on. Nobody's going to see this stuff and yet I still have to clean off all the old glue and repaint the whole piece. It's a sickness.

Ahh the satisfaction of knowing that you did a proper job rather then a half arsed job on that heater as well as everything else will be well worth it. Keep up the good work.

The A/C unit deconstruction. It's cleaned and ready for a new coat of black.

I hope it blows colder with the fresh color. Actually, I know it'll work better because it will have a new compressor and evaporator and there was a ton of crap clogging the coils when I took it apart.

Got the foam kit in, so I put the heater unit back together. I temporarily installed it just to get it out of my way.

So jealous of the truck. You have a diesel. It also happens to be RHD and a troopie.
