Yup, I think every 1/4 panel that gets made will have to be a "custom" job. That is if anybody still wants one after I figure out what it will cost!
Each side has at least twice as much of a material investment over the tailgates, and then there are 2 sides, I think they will go together faster than the tailgates, but then there is all the custom back and forth, I wont be able to get the parts in quantities since they will all be different, so that means I will also have to make multiple trips to my laser guys shop........ :whoops:

Mine is in!

This thing is awesome. I haven't filled it with anything yet, but it should come in handy for small stuff that doesn't have a good home. I threw down some Second Skin Damplifier as well. Overall the thing is super solid and I like it a lot, thanks Kevin.

This foto makes it look like the space is almost nothing when the door is closed. how'd that happen? I don't have my space saver yet so can't answer my own question.

It's plenty of space for a tree saver, some jumper cables, gloves and a small 1st aid kit.

Hey, I'm into optical hallucinations, er, uh, I mean delusions.... uh, whatever. The pic just struck me funny and there is all sort of good room there, to be sure. Can't wait until my number comes up but I will. Tow staps, jumper cables, dog towels, work coveralls, shop rags, etc., etc., etc., have a way of taking up space further forward of the tailgate. Kevin's fully finished product is ingenious and frees up room for heavier hard goods to be placed further into the center of the truck. Stuffing is good and not just at Thanksgiving.

kevinmrowland,
I can see some of the things you got there but can you list what you got and wut its fer?

What I got is:

tow strap (need d rings/shackels though:frown:)
gloves
oil
ps oil
brake oil
shop rags
full towel (don't know why but ive need one available in the past)
jumper cables
bungee cords
tie down straps (to tie down ice chest and goodies from fry's electornics:D. Wait a minute. Does the 60 come with places to tie down from?)

need/want:
first aid
zip lock bags (you never know)
shackels
dust mask and basic goggles (As crazy as it sounds, I've had to change my tire in dusty wind)
rubber boots (don't know if im just blowing smoke on this one)
hammer/axe would be nice
flaires (oh wait I would keep 2 of them under drive seat)

Any one else? I need side panels though... need more room:D

Starting with post #24 here I show most of the stuff I keep in the truck at all times.
For me the tailgate is mostly secondary/overflow storage other than the axe and the saw.
so:
Axe
Saw
Work light
Shovel
OE jack handles
Bungee cords
Chain bungees
Variety of tie downs (60s do not come with d-rings, I put some in though)
Roll of papers towels
Trailer wiring
WD40
Small grease gun (in a plastic bag)
Super siphon
Gloves
Lock & cable
Brake bleeder
Hammer
Bug Spray
RainX
Oil filter wrench
Xtra dog food & a Tennis ball
And a random collection of other stuff at any given moment.

Dylan, cruiser is looking REAL nice!!! Good addition!

With kevin's help, I put mine in yesterday! I filled it with a bunch of crap including a long breaker bar, gear lube, jack stand uprights, a siphon, some atf, a hammer, the top clamp and foot for my high lift and an old pair of jeans to line the bottom with. Believe it or not, even without insulation, nothing rattles around although I will be putting in insulation at some point.

I'll put up pics when I can get them off my phone. Thanks Kevin! I LOVE IT!!

Love the storage systems! You are seriously OCD :) I want to build something like that elsewhere in my 60. Where do you get the latches?
