Tailgate handle fix? (1 Viewer)

Greetings,
When I got my rig, I knew that the tailgate handle was broken, but not to what extent. Turns out the right side extension has broken away from the main lift piece.

Has anyone had success fixing their handles? Can they be JB welded or epoxied?

Also, to get that thing out of there, do I need to remove the rear window motor and assembly?

Yes. They can be braised back together. Epoxy won't last

Excellent. Thanks Trollhole. What about the extraction and re-install process? Window motor out or? I'm reticent take the motor and assembly out, as it works so well right now!

I believe it has to come out in order to replace the handle.
