So the end links on my 2003 Tacoma went out. Looked into replacements and the OEM ones are pricey little buggers. So I ended up replacing them with some aftermarket ones from Napa and those things were absolute crap...one of them went out after about a month. So I pulled off the front sway bar completely and been running without it for about a month. Its not bad really, but I would prefer to have it on for how much highway/street driving I do for my type of wheeling.

So I've been looking around again at the end links...thinking about just going OEM... But I noticed that the 3rd Gen 4Runners have different type of end links. The Tacoma ones (at least from my year) have two ball-joints built into them, while the 4Runner ones just have the one ball-joint and then the other end is just bushings. Any rhyme or reason for that? Seems the one joint might be less joints to wear out...so I'm kinda thinking maybe it would be useful to run the 4Runner style one on the Tacoma.... The frame mount sections look identical, the lower arms are identical... so can these things just be swapped across? I know there are two different diameters of the bars so I'm prepared for that.

Are the 4Runner ones a "better" design than the Tacoma ones? or vice versa? Am I just over-thinking this one?--I just want something that's gonna last a good while and not be freaking clunking down under there...

They're both pricey buggers from OEM outlets, regardless so...

Are there any known good aftermarket end links for either the 4Runner or the Tacoma that are closer to around ~$30 USD a pop?
