My remote start is taking 2 starts to fire up. So to fix this I can hook up the remote starter to the tach sensor wire.
option 1
The diagram I have says that it is a black wire by the ECM. Is the ECM behind the glovebox?
option 2?
The wires coming out of the igniter are blk/red & blk/wht, is this somewhere I can hook in? if so which one?

I pushed the stripped wirefrom the remote starter into the tach wire lead of the diagnostic port connector (engine bay firewall, passenger side) temporarily, until I tapped into the actual tach wire, never got around to switching it and it worked like a champ for over a year, 'til I sold the rig.

No, sorry, I sold the rig a month ago, and the factory service manual went with it, hopefully someone with a manual will post it up for you.

I ask this becasue i still can not get mine to work.
When i kit the button the accesorys come on but the truck has never started or even tried to start. any one know anything i could try?
I have a designtech do i have to hook up my tach wire for it to work? i have checked every wire and they are all right. any help would be awsome]

i bought a bulldog remote start on ebay for 40 bucks. the tach sensor is usually optional...use when it takes more than once to start.
I hooked into the ignition harness, a little tight in there...but workable.
the first link will give you color wires to look for.
the second link is a good msg board like this, except electrical wackos instead of birf wackos. :flipoff2:

The tach wire I tapped into for my remote start is on the ignitor on the drivers side fender, kind of below the brake resivour. I have pics on my computer at home, if I get a chance I will post one later for you. If I remember correctly the wire is black, but don't quote me on that.
