So my wife and I have a 2011 LX570 which I wanted to make little more off-road worthy and add lights and other 12V accessories.
I have a SwitchPros on my other truck and wanted to add one to this truck. I was able to find the SDHQ sunglasses holder SwitchPros keypad mount, but they didn't have a mount for the SwitchPros main power module under the hood.
So this led me down the hole of trying to find a bracket that was made for our vehicles to hold the SwitchPros power module. I came up empty. I tried looking at PowerTrays and BlazeOffroad and some other places, but for some reason, no one seems to make one for the LX570, at least that I've found.
So after a few months of working on this and drawing up and testing different versions, I finally have a finished product that looks pretty darn good IMO.
These will work on both 2008 - 2021 Land Cruisers and LX570s.
So far I've made four different versions:
Version 1 - Large SwitchPros bracket that will hold a SwitchPros power module, a Blue Sea Bus Bar, a Blue Sea 6 circuit Fuse Block, and a Blue Sea Terminal Block. This requires a bolt on support leg due to its length and the weight on it.
Version 2 - Small SwitchPros bracket that holds everything as the large bracket, except the Blue Sea 6 circuit Fuse Block.
Version 3 - Holds a Blue Sea 6 circuit fuse block and a Blue Sea 187-series panel mount circuit breaker for those that just want to add accessories but no switch panel. this one also requires the bolt on support leg.
Version 4 - Small Garmin PowerSwitch bracket that holds the PowerSwitch and a Blue Sea Bus Bar. I haven't received the prototype of this one yet, but its similar in size to the small SwitchPros.
I'm going to also work on creating a double Garmin PowerSwitch bracket, a Garmin PowerSwitch bracket with the Blue Sea 6 circuit Fuse Block, and then move on to building one for the sPOD Bantam switches.
I think the plan is to try to sell these, as there is a void in the market for this vehicle and product. It's a small niche, but that's what I love about the LandCruisers and LX's - someone's probably built something or will build something for every situation you can think of.
If anyone is interested in these, let me know!
