Hey everyone, I am starting to get a clanking sound going over speed bumps. I went underneath my 2003 LC and found this loose(on both sides) . Is there supposed to be a bushing where the rusty bolt is? I looked online , but can’t find the part. Does anyone know what the part is or part number? TIA

Why is it hurting my brain so much to figure out what we're staring at there?

Can you share another pic? That's definitely something gone wrong.

Looks like front sway bar links.....with bushing missing.

Need new front swaybar end links...
Bingo. I've never seen bushings completely gone before, lol.

@Wetwillie Get yourself the entire assembly for that end link. You can buy just the bushings, but you need a new stud as well. That thing is toast. I bet that sounds awful, haha. Good news is that's a quick fix.

Aftermarket stabilizer front link, missing LWR cushion (rubber bushing).

OEM frt link, and end of stabilizer bar it attaches to.

Interesting, a lot oil and or grease around area, but not on link. Indicating link has not been on long. So what happen to rubber or poly cushion in short time period. Was it never even installed!

Best if you look for where oil/grease is coming from. Looks like PS side, so likely ATF/oil from power steering reservoir and hoses. Also may have a FDS CV boot leak. Either a hole/rip in boot or loose boot clamp.

Note:
Front end rubber bushing will disintegrate, if continually soaked in ATF from power steering leak. i.e. rubber bushing for stabilizer system cushion, P&S rack mounting bushing, front diff bushing, etc. Stop the leaks!

Looks like you've got grease built up everywhere down there too, take some more pics showing everything from further back if you'd like to find out more problems you may have lol like torn CV boot maybe?

Your problem is here. There is supposed to be rubber in there, as noted in previous comments

You may want to also follow the piece it is connected to back towards the other side. There are two more rubber cushions that hold the bar in place, make sure to check that they still exist
