You can stay out all night on the dunes if you want. Personaly after about 2am I have to go to sleep.

Seth was thinking of doing giant dice down a dune for $, not sure if he got the dice, I will call him.

I actully broke on the firday night run, but sooo much good will and wrenches came out. I was able to nerse her back to camp, then went to bed. Early Sat, I borrowed matts cruiser (he was super hung) went to town, got the needed parts, and had her all better by the time everyone was getting up.

So yea, some night activity.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about going to SNT but we have a four month old baby. Thinking about getting a hotel to make the nights more accommodating.

We are planning on flying out and picking up my truck there and driving back to Florida (taking our time). From past experiences, how are the days and nights temperatures on average. Do you think it's too much for a guy so young?

Don't want to take the boy and be miserable then have to drive back 46 hours + home.

Day temps are in the 70's last I check, and the night time has been dipping into the 50's not all that cold IMO. I don't have kid, but 4months is not too young, you just have to have the patience. Have to be real careful driving in the dunes and even out to camp with an infant that small in the back. If I remember correctly a child at 4 months does not have the properly developed neck muslces and the bumps and drving in the sand can be bouncey. If you want to just come to check out SnT and just hang around camp you should be fine, but if you want to drive around the dunes and test that truck probably not (not with the baby at least).

my$.02 how about some of the more fatherly figures chime in on this one.

Hmmmm...
Nights could be a little cold, but it's not too difficult bundling up a 4 month old so the boy wouldn't mind much. Worst case, expect low 50s, high 40s at night. Be prepared for wind.

He should be find riding on the dunes -- you'd obviosly have his seat and pillows, etc. -- you'll probably find him sleeping most of the time on the dunes.
I wouldn't recommend doing any of the jumps with him strapped in

Pacific Plaza resort is a nice little hotel about 1 block from the entrance of the dunes, might want to go that route as opposed to camping at pismo. It is not exactly the most quiet between the drinking and normal weekend dune fireworks. Hell, about a year and a half ago we were camping at pismo and almost got ran over while inside our tent, someone thought it would be fun to drive their quad at 3 am drunk without lights.

Remember there are lots of motels and resturants within 15 minutes from the beach.

that's right, might be worth circling the wagons and putting the tents in the middle. I've stayed outside the main camp so there is less noise, but I'm a bit concerned about the drunk drivers when doing that...
