well done!

it's even getting air!

hi ya all, i may have missed this but is there a list of people coming from ventura area/ LA and ants to convoy/ hook up on the road . i am leaving friday morning say 10-11 am.

I believe that is correct, flags not mandatory for highway vehicles. If you want one anyway, there is a little sporting goods store on the rhs at the very southern entrance that carried last year a bunch of attachments that seemed like they would work fine on one of the ARB light tabs...

flags are 100 percent manditory if you want to go into the dunes only if you stay on the beach do you not need one

since when?

I bought a flag for S-n-T #2...the first one I attended, but never brought it back with me, nor picked up another.

they haven't been required on the dunes for passenger vehicles the previous years.

is this something new this year?

Well....he may be right. Found this on the Oceano Dunes site:

Clothing and Equipment

Oceano Dunes

"EQUIPMENT
All vehicles operating in the SVRA (beach and dune area south of Post 2), must be equipped with the following:

An adequate muffler. (Required for vehicle operation in any area.)

An 8' whip with an orange or red flag with a minimum size of 6" x 12".

Except for two-, three-, and four-wheeled cycles, all vehicles shall be equipped with adequate roll bars or roof structures of sufficient strength to support the weight of the vehicle and shall have a secure seat and seat belt for the vehicle operator and each passenger. Seat belts shall be as specified in the California Vehicle Code. "

It doesn't differentiate between an OHV and a street legal vehicle. That being said, I've been there twice with no flag and I'd say in general most street legal cars/trucks out there do not have the whip/flag.

Wow! that's amazing. Ditto on the air.

Quick and dirty but how's this:
www.realcruiser.com

yeah, that works, sweet. Maybe next year I'll put a little more time into it, with sound, sand tracks and flying sand. I only had about an hour to do something fun on the computer for a change.

We will have to talk about hooking you up with a banner type animaiton for your site after SnT. Just to show our appreciation for putting on this event every year.
